The Complain-About-Bad-Customer-Service Thread!
« on: December 12, 2012, 03:39:26 pm »
Anyone ever had to try to cover an account with EA/Bioware? It's absolutely hellish.

I've had to call three times, send 11~ emails, and 5~ support tickets and they still say I need to do more, and half the time their 'system' just disresgards it as spam mail. Why? I don't know, apparently they flag anything with the word 'authenticator' as spam.

In any case, anyone else ever had any similiar troubles with Customer Service?

Feel free to post your rant(s) below.

Well i once took my recently bought microwave to the store because it did not work well...

The woman who was on duty looked at me an said "What the fuck do i have to do with that!? If your broke it you pay a new one!"

Let's say that i filled a complaint with her name and the whole situation.

Whats the problem exactly?
Edit: When you get it running, I'm playing on Jung Ma and The Shadowlands so come on there, and for bad customer service, i bought a Minecraft server and the server wasnt up, and i could get it up. The control panel was completely unresponsive. Then when it finally went up someone came on, said it was really his server and banned me. After sending numerous emails to customer service i just cancelled the server and the didn't reply until a few weeks after and after the emails where i said they sucked and that I wasn't wasting my money on their crap.

I hate EA customer support, but it's not as bad as Sky support, who called my friend saying his internet was bad because of the hot weather, he lives in Scotland...

Ughhh, my account over at paradox plaza is busted and I'm unable to post in and access various sub-forums, even those for which I've registered my game key. It's odd too, because I made one post and then a few days later, I was suddenly locked out of the above, as if I'd never registered.

My attempts at contacting a forum admin have all met with a useless automated response... not sure how to get through to them. :-\

So got another one...

We were supposed to be getting a new table for our dining room, and they were supposed to drop it off and set it up between 13:00 and 17:00 Thursday okay?

Thursday: Guys finally show at ~16:00, start bringing stuff in. Alright so far so good, I leave the room (my little bro's gaming on the couch, so he's watching them). I come back down a few minutes later and the guys are gone, just dumped a box containing the parts for the table on the floor... brother didn't know they were supposed to be setting it up. Right, so I call my mom up and tell her they screwed up, she calls the company and they promise to send someone over to set it up the next day.

Friday: Nobody turns up. We unpack the table ourselves and notice the wood is chipped in several places and pieces are broken. So she calls up the store again, tells them the table they brought us is damaged and that their employee never showed up. They promise to pick up the broken table, bring a new one, and to (presumably) set it up the next day.

Saturday: So, while the rest of my family's out, I get a call from the company saying their man crashed the truck and that they'll have to make the pick-up/delivery tomorrow (the guy on the phone doesn't bother to specify a time, probably should'a asked him...). Alright, granted the roads are quite bad right now (Canadian winters eh?), but that's an awfully convenient excuse...

Sunday (i.e. today): Well we're having family over for an early Christmas dinner tonight and we still don't have our new table. We call the company, trying to figure out when they'll be here to finish their job (relatives are coming over ~16:00). Everyone we talk to either puts us on hold or tells us to call someone else in the company. Finally we're given the manager's cell number, but he doesn't pick up (or perhaps more likely, ignores us). So we wait and wait, whilst running around getting dinner sorted, and they still haven't shown up by 14:00... exasperated, we chuck the new table in the garage and haul the old one up from downstairs.

Throughout this entire ordeal, I never once glimpsed anything that could even pass for competence from anyone at this company. The delivery guys, customer service people, manager, none of them seemed to give a single f*ck about our purchase.

Needless to say we're cancelling our payment, never buying anything from them again, and are letting everyone we know not to as well. They (and their superiors) will also be receiving some strongly worded letters. Personally, I think someone deserves to be fired over this pathetic excuse for customer service.

Also, y'know how the table was broken? Well it turns out it was made in China... so yeah, not all that surprised.
