Welcome to the official thread of MarxeiL's Tiered Randomised Teams Tournament Series. There weren't any proper randomized tournaments for a while before I did one in January and June last year, so here it goes FINALLY. I'm really committed to making this tournament as professional as possible and grateful for any help given to me. If you wish to join me and help to shape this tournament, you can add me on steam (links are further down below on this thread). I'm looking for around 20 teams but can obviously work with less or more, depending on the sign-ups. The tournament will unfold following the traditional group stage followed by a single-elimination bracket. If you are interested in participating in this tournament, please leave an application below. The point of the tournament is all of the teams will be randomly generated by the following tiers (from 1 to 4). We are aiming as I said above to have a total of 20 or 16 teams with 7 people on each team. Good luck and thanks for reading!

Sign-up Deadline: Saturday the 18th of June - 11:59pm BST | Roster Edit Deadline: Sunday the 19th of June - 10:00pm BST IMPORTANT INFORMATION A steam group invite will be sent to captains and referees in order to supply the details for the tournament. If you do not receive an invite or miss it, contact MarxeiL and ask for an invite. Captains will not be chased around, and failure to join the group will mean you will not be directly given the details. Captain's are responsible for adding the people assigned to their teams; admining the teams matches in the tournament; picking lineups for the team and leading them in the matches. Tiers won't be randomized and will be seeded based on the opinion of several players, it will help us to make it balanced for all of the teams so eg. players like Python and Achilles (Tier 1 players) won't be able to play in one team, cause obviously, both of them will just make it unfairly strong. Roster Rules § 1.1 Roster limit is set to 7* players per team. § 1.2 Players MUST sign up with their community names in addition to roleplay names. Both MUST be specified. § 1.3Roster edit deadline (basically addition of roleplay names, team name and providing IDs) is set at 10:00pm (22:00) BST at day before the tournament (18th of June). After that, not a single change will be allowed. * can be changed. [close] | General Rules § 2.1 Melee speed will be set on medium. § 2.2 Players must use the line infantry class. § 2.3 You aren't allowed to spawn if your team does not play. § 2.4 All matches will be ft5, apart from the quarter-finals and semi-finals (ft7) and the finals (ft10). § 2.5 Good behavior is expected. Insulting/toxicity will lead to 1 warning and then a suspension from matches. § 2.6 Since it's a fun tournament, the same faces and roleplaying nicknames are allowed (as long as the captain provides them in roster update). § 2.7 ID MUST be provided. Players with IDs missing won't be allowed to play. [close] | Match Rules § 3.1 Once a match has been called, each team has ~2 minutes to get ready. § 3.2 Once typed 'r' and the referee has said 'go', the round CAN NOT be voided. § 3.3 In any case of a server crash/map change if it is to happen, then all current rounds WILL be VOIDED. § 3.4 Each player in your team must play some rounds in each match. During the first stages, it'll be a minimum of 1 round, the semis will be a minimum of 2 rounds and the finals will be 3 rounds. If the opposing teams have fewer players than you e.g. you have 7 and they have 6 at this point you may not play 1 of your players as the team with the higher amount. [close] |

« on: April 21, 2022, 05:45:35 pm »The European Napoleonic Wars Cup is a series of tournaments presented to you by Crusher, DarkTemplar, Saphyro, and Maskman ages ago. This time I've decided to host something like that to keep all weeks of ongoing NWWC busy as possible. Essentially ENWC is a tournament hosted in the classical format of 7v7 but with National teams. This time we gonna use the 6v6 setting which is being used right now in the original NWWC, completely different bracket, different opponents, and shorter matches. This time ENWC was made only for teams that took part in the original NWWC this year, with their confirmed rosters.

General Rules 1.1 | Be a good sportsman. 1.2 | Players must be respectful to each other, and the tournament administration both on the NWWC sub-board and servers. 1.3 | Players should respect both the letter and the spirit of the rules. Common sense should always be applied, regardless of the situation. 1.4 | It is strictly prohibited to gain an advantage by using game modifications, cheats, or hacks such as texture replacers/recolors, or autoblock. 2. Captain Rules 2.1 | Make sure you are eligible to sign up to that nation. (See below for further clarification) 2.2 | Ensure that you treat your Co-Captain with equal responsibility. (Decisions should be made together) 2.3 | Do not allow any players that are not on your roster to participate in your official NWWC matches. (Both the player and the team involved will face penalties or disqualification) 2.4 | Every captain must have all four of the tournament organizers as a friend on steam, if they fail to do this they will not be recognized as a captain. Kore - MarxeiL - Chicken - Tw1st[eR]* 2.5 | To sign up for captain of a nation, please use the template provided in the sign-ups thread. Captains will be decided by the tournament organizers. To provide support for a captain, PM the organizers or post on the forums, the more support a player has, the higher the chance they have of receiving captaincy of their team. 3. Sign-ups Rules 3.1 | Anyone signing up for a nation must use the template provided. 3.2 | All players must meet the following criteria when signing up for their chosen nation. - Were born in X country. - Have been living in X country for at least 5 years. 3.3 | If a player is found to have switched nation or played for another nation, the participant will be permanently banned from the tournament 3.4 | Nation changes are not allowed, whatever nation you signed up for/played for, is the only nation you may play for. 3.5 | If any teams are found to be possessing players that do not meet the criteria stated in 3.2, OR players that are NOT on the team roster, the team will suffer an immediate loss for that match, and a -2 start for all following matches. 3.6 | Some coalitions may be allowed with permission from the tournament organizers. If you are confident that you're nation is unable to field a team large enough to participate in the tournament, then you are free to approach the tournament organizers with suggestions for coalitions, but it is advised you do this before forming your coalitions as your request may be rejected. 4. Roster Rules 4.1 | Minimum number of members in a roster is 8. 4.2 | Maximum number of members in a roster is 10. 4.2 | Roster Changes are only permitted and valid up to 1 hour before a match is due to start. 4.3 | If a player has not played a game yet they can be replaced with no penalty. You can replace up to 3 players during the tournament who have played a match. 5. Match Rules 5.1 | Matches will be first to 15 rounds. 5.2 | No trolling or delaying, it wastes both of the team's time and the staff present. 5.3 | Line infantry only. No Foot Guards, Marines, Medics, Grenadiers, or Militia. Only Infantry muskets are to be used. No Shooting. 5.4 | Upon entering the arena, the 6 participants from both teams must be behind the white line before the referee starts the round. 5.5 | Teams must arrive to their matches on time. If a team is more than 15 minutes late without a minimum of 5 members on the server, the opposing team will be given a default win. All rules stated above are subject to change. |

NWWC (Napoleonic Wars World Cup) is a competition bringing all nationalities from across the globe together to compete against each other, in order to determine who is the most skilled Nation in a Groupfighting format. This year however we will be returning back to a 6v6 format, this is lower than the classic 7v7 but this is due to some nations having lost players over the year. This year we will be only allowing one team per nation. Why, might you ask? The NWWC was designed to bring players together, especially the best of them to compete. Sort of like the randomized tournaments we want to invite people to play with players they may not usually play with in order to get the best chance of winning. The only other major change is that this year we will be trying to pick up on cheating, taking on from what EGS did in their tournaments. The hosts will decide if any signed-up players are 'suspicious' and any marked players will need to record some of their matches or they will not be allowed to partake.
The tournament originally started in the spring of 2012, as a pilot designed to test out national group fighting competitions. The pilot was a success and bred a full-blown tournament in the autumn of 2012. As time went by, the original organizers left the community and the latest tournament, hosted in 2015, was organized by Herishey and Bobertini. However, due to Herishey’s part retirement, the tournament was passed on and hosted by Cazasar and Rommel for 2016 and 2017. The latter hosted two amazing NWWC's, along with Mini-NWWC's also. 2016 and 2017 produced two champions in both Germany and France the year after. After his hiatus, Herishey stepped back up into the position of head organizer of the NWWC, and with Hercules, they successfully hosted one of the best NWWC’s to date. In 2019, MarxeiL and Herishey hosted a revamped M-NWWC with great success. In 2020 Kore has taken the role of head organizer in order to bring you a new and successful edition of NWWC. Last year the reigns did return back to Herishey with a solid team of co-organizers hosting NWWC 2021. This year MarxeiL and a very strong team of co-organizers aiming to repeat and possibly surpass the success of last year’s tournament.
