I'm curious if there will be any substantial performance impact due to the number of objects within the buildings.

FPS is the same with the objects as without them. We tested it again this Friday and confirmed that there is no difference. I did some optimization to make sure that they aren't actually rendered until close, but you won't ever see them popping in.

Loving the detail in house and drug store! Here i come with another question. In the screenshot here, it seems if you want to shoot out the window it might be a tight squeeze past the chair, are objects like that destructable (chairs, tables, benches ect) like the windows as shown in blog 37?

Apart from that keep the good work up laddies!

Currently they are not destructible, but I was looking into a way to allow that. It is a problem I need to look into anyway, because if we want to add building destruction, we need the props standing close to the wall to break too.
For windows like this, there is ofc another solution, which would be simply not having a player collider for those objects.

We will see what we will end up with

so we wait 5 weeks just for a blog about hay and tin cans in a shed?
and then you dissapear for another 2 weeks?
but the great news is these weekly blogs again are no longer weekly blogs, just short pictures of cans every few weeks

this is similar to bannerlord
same development time etc

im sick of waiting, what have you been doing for 7 years that everything is all still a work in progress

Yes

I wouldn't call it great news, but the weekly blogs we did were to update everyone on where we are with the game. Obviously once the main stuff has been shown we need to wait for new features to be done before we can make a larger blog. That and the fact that we like spending our time on development instead of blogs.

No, Bannerlord dev started in 2010. They also have millions of dollars budget and a team of like 20-30 guys. We are 4, were 3 for most of the time and are paying everything from our own money.

Not much, worked on Holdfast and BCoF.
But don't worry, the game will come out fairly soon and you can once again become our best customer.

Not sure if this was on any other blogs or not but any thoughts on the 500 man servers ? Will it really be possible and will it still be playable in terms of the average players setup and also what about people over 100 ping ? I am EU leading an American regiment and I get that I will never have a lag free experience but is it still going to similiar to what I have now on NW with 200 players ?

This might be too early for these questions but appreciate if you have any idea.

Network engine will perform better with higher pings than in Warband.

About Client side performance, there is a lot of work left.
