Stop insulting each other and flaming.  Personally, I have no issue same sex marriage is legal nationwide, even if I personally do not believe in it doesn't mean that should bring about hate or other emotions dictating what another human being can or cannot do.  I just hope there never comes a point where humans are allowed to marry animals or inanimate objects, being the downfall of society. My only time I ever knew a gay guy was someone who was bullied in my high school, being the only gay, who I recently found out was married and then arrested on charges of pedophelia, literally like a month ago.  Other than that I can't speak for anyone but I did watch some news on the plaintiff and he seems like an honest dedicated regular guy, who happened to be gay.

Not what I said, fggt. The federal government cannot legalise gay marriage. I never said gay marriage is bad, etc etc. I actually do support gays doing whatever the fuck they want as long as it stays away from me.

The ruling does not erode state's rights (technically), because states have never had the right to discriminate under the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. Whether gay marriage actually applies under the Equal Protection Clause is complicated, which is why nine veteran legal scholars decide on these sorts of things.
