Everybody who uses a capital 's' in the abbreviation of His Majesty's Royal Server is a second class citizen of FSE.

I'd do it, but I see absolutely no evidence of an NA team being invited . . . especially not two months after the tournament was announced and after the first match has been posted.

At some point, I'll move the full results onto the spreadsheet and post it for posterity. The tie breaker system I was using was a terible choice of tiebreaker, the more I think about it, so finishing positions are probably going to be lumped.

Took about an hour longer than we intended. Sorry about that. Were we ever to try it again with a similar setup, we'd need to find a way to streamline a few things. I like the Swiss tournament as a format, but it's quite slow for a one-day tournament. Part of the issue is that Challonge doesn't handle drops well at all. I used a client side program for it, which is why we were using the spreadsheet (and updating it so slowly). It might honestly have been faster to randomly assign several round robin pools and do a short elimination after, and perhaps the lack of pub signups made my concern about keeping everybody involved less relevant.

We will be using DaMonkey's box for this, which is hosted in Dallas. I have a temporary config launched with a rotation of random maps I generated, threw spawns on, and uploaded within twenty minutes. It is also on medium combat speed, which will be used for the tournament. Use the server if you want to get used to the timing between now and the tournament; continue using the BBG cav groupfighting server if you want production quality. It will be up until either the beginning of NickyJ's linebattle or until the box gets restarted without me noticing.

The server name is HMs_Cavalry_Server

Don't do it.

Why would you not be able to play at all with premade teams? You can literally make your own team and play as much as you want.

And again, point of a premade league is to make your own teams, point isn't to wait for someone to ask you to be on their team, it's to go and ask people to be on yours.
The risk is obviously that you don't end up on a top tier team, but that's a risk regardless of league type.

I used to do this for one day tournaments. I'd grab a couple of decent NA1 pubs just to play. We'd get knocked out first round pretty much every time, but we could kind of amuse ourselves in the process.

There's no way I could have gotten anybody to put up with it for a two months in a league then, and it'd be twice as hard now.

The way I see it, I played two rounds in the regular season and one round in the playoffs. That's three whole rounds. With prechosen teams, I wouldn't have played at all. So I guess I'm firmly in the draft league lobby.

The events mainly come down to who hosts, the admins, the regiments that attend, & the server used. [...] The admins are mostly the same across the board, usually a regiment leader has admin maybe some others, I believe it's up to the hoster to dedicate certain people to be spec admins(I offered some BBG admins to do it but they eventually lost interest, like most do).

Event hosts decide the admins on HM's server. I occasionally offer unsolicited input on the whitelists, but it's ultimately the host's decision. Usually ends up being the same people being nobody else bothers to ask for it.

the Marlins tho wtf when was the last time they won a series

2003, which was also the last year they made the playoffs.

The only other time the Marlins have ever made the playoffs was 1997. They won the World Series that year too. They have never won their division.

Reverse columns? Center forming? Sounds like the product of discount single rank lines. Double rank army battles should have been the future.
