Off Topic / Name that unit!

Helloooo everyboooody. I'm gonna start a new forum game here called...

NAME
THAT
UNIT

The rules here are quiet simple, a person posts a picture of a unit(Either real or from a piece of media), and the person below them guesses it! The pictures can be photos of that unit, their standard, their emblem or their Commanding Officer(If he's famous enough(Must be leader of ONE unit))

If the answer is right, you edit in a checkmark into the post that had the picture, and that person gets to post a picture of a unit!! If the answer is WRONG, then you put an X underneath the picture for each wrong guess.

Community / Official NW Leagues

So, I've been thinking about the NWL and the NANWL. They're both very, very fun tourneys. In fact I've talked to some people who say that they're the only reason that they still play this game. The idea of competitive play just brings out the best in people, it's quite fun.

So, why not make this an official thing? Here's how I'd set it up:

LEAGUE 1: Regimental 1v1 Line Battles of 15-20 people each

LEAGUE 2: Formed up teams done by people, where they do 10v10 Line Battles

LEAGUE 3: 5v5 Groupfighting

...and so on and so forth.

There'd be some Prizes also. Things like a free digital copy of BCoF to the winning regiments, access to the donator board, forums badges (We seriously need these) and so on.

I'd like to note that the things I put forward before aren't any solid proposals, these are merely ideas for contests. The main question I ask to you guys is if we should have some FSE sponsored play for NW.

So please vote, post your opinion, and come up with some good ideas!

Hey guys, Clearly here. I found this brand-spankin new game made by SOE. It's gonna be a F2P MMOFPS Zombie Survival game on the same engine as Planetside 2 (Forgelight). Basically think DayZ with more indepth crafting, a map resembling parts of the United States and hundreds (Maybe thousands?) of players fighting for survival at once.

Known features:

Gameplay

First Person or Third Person shooter
Zombie Survival
Night is dark and full of terrors
Player versus Player at it's core.
More than just zombies in the world
Base Building, Town building, Fortress creation
Can burn down things others build.
Lots of crafting. Probably the biggest thing about the game.
Vehicles are already in. Possibility of aircraft in the future.
Based off the United States.
If you die, you lose your gear. It stays on your corpse.
"No skills or levels".
"Thousands of players". I'm willing to bet this will be larger, playercount wise, than planetside 2.
There will be Hunting.
Horses will be a mode of transportation
Camping was added recently
Pets are being considered

Tech Details

PC first, PS4 later. "Well, we are Sony" when asked about the PS4 version.
"If you can run Planetside 2, you can run H1Z1 better".
"Orders of magnitude larger than Planetside 2".
Based of Planetside 2. Shares no tech with Everquest Next (so no Voxels).
Built in voice chat options.

Part of the All-Access subscription that SOE is launching this month. $15/mo for premium sub in all SOE games.

Personally, as a Planetside 2 CB veteran I have faith in SOE keeping this game non-Pay to win. It seems like a good concept, but then again all Survival MMOs do. But they're going to try and take the scale of Planetside and combine it with the feel of DayZ, so let's see what happens!

Ok, so we have an Atheist thread. That's all fine and dandy, but I think it'd be nice if we had a platform to actually discuss religion as a whole and not just focus on the whole *Is there a God* question.

I mean if there isn't a God, there's still the possibility of an afterlife. If there is a God, there's a chance there is no afterlife. What does religion mean, what you believe and all of that.

So yeah, debate away my fellow FSEers. Keep it civil however, act with respect and don't trash another person's beliefs. I have Sean and McEwan on speed-dial.

Forum & Website / [Request] Bring back the B/M/W thread

We need to have a platform where we can voice our opinions on who gets banned and why they did get banned. It's rediculous that people can get banned from a community forum, and the actual community has no hand in wether that person gets banned or not.

Look, I'm not asking for open democracy and I'm not even asking for you to listen to our opinions, I just think it'd be best that the community, US, can have a thread so that we can at least inquire and debate these actions. It's still up to the forum staff to actually take action or to even bother responding.

We deserve a bit of a voice.

Personally, I see it as justified for the sake of people deciding what happens to them directly, but that's me.

Hey everyone, it's your favorite religious social democrat here.

So I've been trying to dive into the real "Phsychology" of Socio-economics, and I found this little video here. It's a TED talk done by a researcher at UC Berkley, and his findings on the actions of people when compaired to their ecomonmic status.

Community / New Regimental Naming System

Something's been crossing my mind for a little while now. Out of all the regiments out there in this fine DLC of ours, conflict can often spark up about who gets which regiment name. Back when the 60th went down for a bit there was a bit of a mad dash for who got the name, so I thought of an idea to fix it.

Why don't we just start using battalions instead of whole regiments? The Battalion of a regiment was usually pretty sizable, and it had all of the ranks that are used by a regiment itself (Except that the highest rank would be Lieutenant Colonel). Battalions still had companies, so there'd be no loss on that front.

The way the tags would be set up is simple, say you take my regiment (44th East Essex) and separate it into multiple battalions. We'd be the 2nd Battalion of the regiment, so our tags would be 2/44th_Rank_Name. Everyone else could pick and choose what other battalions they could want, and there'd be no conflict over who gets what regiment anymore.
