We are a group of dedicated cavalry players that just enjoy playing cavalry. We are reasonably experienced players and look forward to all the matches that are to come! Our current goal is to get setup and have an active event schedule. Our aim is not to become the best, but to find fun regiments to fight against that are around the same skill level, in order to have a good match.
History & Traditions
The regiment was raised in 1718. A portion of the regiment served in Flanders, 1794-5. In 1796 it went to the West Indies and served in San Domingo in the operations at Mirebalois and elsewhere. It went to Portugal in 1808, acting most of the time with the Light Division, and went through the whole of the Peninsular campaign from first to last. It was in the advance to Coimbra, at the passage of the Douro, and capture of Oporto; at Talavera, Bussaco, Fuentes d'Onor, Ciudad Rodrigo, and Badajos, Salamanen and Burglos; at Vittoria, in the nations of the Pyrenees, at the Nivelle and Nive, at Orthes, Tarbes, and Toulouse, and in minor affairs without number. It took part in the second Sikh War, and was present at the battles of Chillianwalish and Goojerat. It served in the Persian expedition, 1856-7, and in the Indian Mutiny it specially distinguished itself in Central India under Sir Hugh Rose. During the South African war it was present in the battles leading up to the relief of Ladysmith, and fought with distinetion throughout the whole of the campaign.
