Regimental Weekend Tournament [8/8] 25th-27th/9, 2nd-4th/10

The Regimental Weekend Tournament (RWT) will be played on two weekends (friday to sunday). The maximum number of parttaking regiments is 8. The 8 regiments will be divided in two groups, 1 and 2.
Each group will play the tournament as planned:
Round 1( Friday and Saturday):
Team A versus Team B (Winner Team A)
Team C versus Team D (Winner Team C)
Round 2 ( Sunday):
Team A versus Team C (Winner is 1st place, loser 2nd place)

The Winner of group 1 will face the Winner of group 2 at the following weekend, so the Tournament is stretched to two weekends instead of one. The 2nd placed regiments of both groups will fight for the 3rd place at the second weekend, too.

In this Challonge example:
Round 1 should be played on Friday or Saturday, Week one
Round 2 should be played on Sunday, Week one
Round 3 (Final and match for 3rd place) should be played on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, Week two.

The groups will be randomised.
Referees applications are wanted and welcomed.


This is my first self organized 1vs1 tournament and my first event in the international community. I appreciate advises and every help I can get.
English is not my first language so keep that in mind while reading this thread. The design of the thread will be improved if there are interested regiments.




Rules ( copied, with some modifications, from the NWL rule set. Credits to NWL organizers. Changes may be proposed)

Spoiler
1a. No Firing in melee or out of formation.
1a.1 A melee is where one bayonet or sword from either line strikes the player or weapon of the opposing team.
1a.2 Firing out of formation is where a shot is fired from a player of a line which is not stationary and in a tightly packed formation.
1a.3 The officer is not allowed to shoot on his own while his line is waiting in cover
1b. Movement ONLY in formation.
1b.1 A formation is a tight line, with gaps tightly closed when standing, and with gaps not bigger than 2 men average while moving.
1b.2 Charge movements only in reasonable distances - a charge does not require any formation.
1b.3 A referee can insist on closing gaps in lines that are moving with too big gaps between their men.
2. Gaps have to be closed tight.
2.1 If you fire without closing the gap beforehand, you may be punished by the referee.
2.2 You are not allowed to open the gap after you take a shot.
3. No officer aiming. This only regards the player in the officer class.
3.1 Officer aiming is only true in the following situations;
Shot whilst marching ahead of the line.
Shot whilst ranged combat and not within 5 man spacing of the original line.
3.2 In the following situations, officer aiming does not apply.
If the officer is standing in front, behind or in the line (from enemies viewpoint)
In a definite and obvious charge movement towards the enemy line.
4. Allowed units: Rankers and officers of regular line infantry - No skirmishers, light infantry or guard infantry.
5. Only one line per regiment, only one officer per regiment.
6. No Bonuses, no musicians, no flag bearers.
7. Only a ONE man majority is allowed.
7.1 The minimum attendance required for a balance is 13 men. If a regiment does not bring 13 their opponents may use 13 regardless.
8. Both regiments have to agree on a map. After 5 rounds teams will be swapped to the opposing faction.
8.1 The referee may pick a map on his own when it takes more than 10 minutes to agree on a map.
9. Servers tba
10. You need to get a referee for your match, otherwise its invalid. A list of these is shown below.
10.1 Both regiments need to agree on the chosen referee.
10.2 Referees are not allowed to referee a match that their own regiment is partaking in.
11. You need to play your match in the given time, so the first match on Friday/Saturday and the second match on Sunday.
12. If one regiment does not appear in time, the other one will get a 10-0 win.
12.1 the latest start in 15 mins after the official start. If a team is late the Referee can enforce a start even if one side isnt ready.
13. If both teams don't appear, both will get a 0-0 loss. This will result in 0 points for both teams.
14. Players may only be in one regiment that is attending the NWL. If a player is in two regiments that are both in the NWL they must choose which one to play for.
14.1 changing the team during the tournament is not allowed.
15. No invites, mercenaries.
16. Referee rulings have to be accepted in a running match. You may not discuss it within an unfinished match.
16.1 each regiment can ask for a 5 min break to talk to the referee if there are major problems. The referee can deny the break request.
16.2. A regiment must follow instructions of a referee. If a regiment fails to do so after multiple calls, he may annul rounds.
17. Each regiment has to prepear a regimental roster with players for the weekend.
17.1.GUIDs aren't necessary.
17.2 Roster changes aren't allowed after the first match of the regiment who wants to add players
18. If the score is 5:5 after 10 rounds, one regiment has to win 2 rounds in a row. After every round in the overtime the spawns will be swapped

Only 4 teams is a shame if you could do shorter round matches until the 'final' you could maybe squeeze in another round so you have quarters too and get another couple regs in. :)

I won lots of things, I came 2nd and 3rd in lots of things, I guess I did some other shit too........ I'm also an FSE legend, probably most commonly described as a cunt. If the shit I do doesn't make sense in your head, well fuck you because it makes sense in mine.

I wasnt sure if there are 8 regiments who want to play 3 1vs1s from friday to sunday, even if the 1vs1s are best of 8 instead of 10.
I think there could be another tournament with 4 other regiments.

45th, for the moment i made mistake and didnt saw cocos post. So there are 4 reservations. Your regiment is the first to take the spot if some regiment who reserved doesnt take part. If we get another 3 Regiments there could be 2 events at the same time.
