Boer war ,what do you know ?


I have made this thread because i found the Boer war verry interested maby because i am Dutch but as i sad what do you guys know of these fine fellows ?, i know that De La Rey there generaal was in that war and that they won a battle against zulu's without losing a guy

This should probably be in the Historical section.

I know this war had one of the earliest uses of concentration camps in modern history, and made GB financially broke. It also worsened Anglo-German relations which began setting the stage for WW1.

It's not hard killing malnourished men with no armour and no advanced weapons with trained soldiers with long range muskets, just saying

I made this thread because I found the Boer War very interesting. Maybe because I am Dutch? What do you guys know about these guys? I know that De La Rey, their general, fought in that war and that they won a battle against zulu's without losing anyone.
