I doubt that one and there is a major difference between acting wrong on MM and reciving a punishment and asking for an unban but acting completeley off at the same time. People are taking Janne as bad example but even though he is toxic sometimes you can at least reason with him and he wasn't trying to get unbanned like this.

A short description of the situation: A long time ago I was banned for trolling and killing a server administrator in the middle of a match. To get around the ban I created many accounts. Please unban at least one account to give me the opportunity to play.

What rules did you break?: Trolled the administrator, argued with him in chat and deliberately killed him when he was on my team.Then he was banned, and circumvented the bans by creating several accounts.
First for trolling and deliberately killing an administrator
Then for creating fake accounts, and for playing friends' accounts.
Why should we unban you?:They shouldn't. I was asked to leave a request to be unblocked - I did.

This month will be a bit different on NWMM! I’m happy to announce that Cookie will be providing 65 pounds in total for the winners of different categories on NW Matchmaking at the end of this month (31.05.2022)

Whoever achieves rank 1 on the leaderboard with at least 50 games played will receive 20 pounds

Yes only topic related posts please! I generally don't mind that much if people actually give proper statements on the topic. Mostly people who were present during that time where the ban was handed out.
Literally the only person who made a somewhat topic related post in the last 3 pages was Janne. Everyone else is just spamming nonsense to trashtalk or boost their ego.

A short description of the situation: I wanted to play with my friend  since 4 games and they didnt pick us together on purpose, so i didnt want to play and let my team die and kd save at the end, smallest ban temp me mid match, After the match smallest also banned me from the website chat (nice freedom of expression), i was still on the queue so i though i was unbanned but the lobby was glitch, after smallest / the holy Python asked me to leave (it was 10/12) but i was afk (i went to hang up my laundry) and when i return to my pc i was banned permanently  and they started another mm game.

Smallest was ok to unban, but obviously you no longer hide your anti-Semitism but it must be in your blood since you are German

Why would you keep hurting your odds. I already spoke to smallest and python. If you would have just stayed quiet they would have probably unbanned you at some point.

NA side has been broken for a month. Anytime you do one match it doesn't actually end after it kicks you out. You can either play the same teams again or cancel it and it never contributes to rankings, etc.

I'm not really managing NA. It's mostly Jolly and he also hosts the servers. Will speak to him.

However there are a few things which I feel like MM is sort of involved and where we can’t tolerate such disgusting behaviour. This applies to things such as doxing, cheating, ddosing, personal harassment and generally really disgusting behaviour. I’ve not seen the whole discussion only the initial post and summed up versions of others but I don’t really get why you would joke around on such a serious matter and also issue in the warband scene (not the first person from warband to take his life). Of course a punishment on MM over a few FSE posts is quite harsh and it wasn’t issued by me personally but I would say it wasn't that unjustified. I would say you at least owe the community an apology for what you did although I can’t guarantee for your unban.

I haven't been generally involved in this pointless argument other than deleting a few irrelevant posts on a NWWC thread, but as I have been blindly accused of some stupid shit here's my two cents:

Banning players on WBMM over things that have nothing to do with WBMM sets a bad precedent very and is a slippery slope, regardless of the situation. What precedent has been set for Janne to be banned on WBMM over something that has nothing to do with WBMM?

Has Janne been banned off NWWC, NWBC, or FSE? Has he been cancelled from all tournaments and is he being boycotted?

Is there a specific ruleset for WBMM admins to indiscriminately ban certain players for actions done outside of WBMM, why is he banned? If so where are these and who writes them, what is really disgusting behaviour, who defines this and where is the line drawn?

Then what you have to ask is, why is he banned right now - if there's no precedence for him getting banned over WBMM which has nothing to do with his comment, the why is he being banned? Because most admins fucking despise him and are using this excuse to get him down, and for good reason tbh I've had Janne in my regiment for almost two years and the guys a freak lets be real. Is this all fair though and does this banning abide by the WBMM rules? Short Answer: Nope

Even though Janne's comment was insensitive and out of place, the basic reasoning under his defence has a lot of credence. Why should these WBMM admins who clearly despise Janne, who do and say stupid shit play judge jury and executioner with no precedent when they themselves hold unsavoury views and share these openly? Who's to say Janne should remain banned when every other player who's ever been close to getting cancelled have been given a second chance, for better or for worse. Look at coco, who got banned for 3 days for telling underaged kills to unironically kill themselves on WBMM, isn't that worse surely? Don't those comments cause more harm? And yet Janne has been banned longer than coco after causing a petty small piece of drama that has nothing to with WBMM.

Regardless of the imo tame context surrounding Janne's cancellation, this is more about setting a precedent and avoiding that slippery downhill slope. This is by no means me coming in to bat for Janne here as pretty much until today I didn't want to waste my time over a petty argument, I just wanted to point out the obvious hypocrisies and plot holes you'll be riddled with, if you go down this path. @LaPache. I sincerely hope you are not falling for being strong-armed by some admins or even by Muha

So far I mostly spoke with Cookie, Steinmann and Fietta (mostly to hear both sides) There haven't been been many cases before where people got banned for doing things outside of MM. Right now I can only think of Obelix and Grynn and the fact if Janne's comments are also counting as disgusting enough to issue a permaban is at least to be questioned for me. I mostly kept Jannes ban going so far because I wanted to make my mind up about this situation first before having to decide. You also have to keep in mind that Janne has a quite bad history on MM and this isn't really working towards his unban either. Like I said the ban wasn't issued by me and I would have liked it more if I was properly informed about it beforehand. But I can tell you that my decison will not be taken based on the presurre on the admin team as in I can see that the admin team is quit split about this. Also Coco has had a much better history on MM and he actually properly apologized (if I remember correctly).
So far I'm leaning towards unban but I want to discuss it with Bullez and probably Janne personally first.

pretty funny as it was honestly a pretty mild joke, most people didn't get upset only a few people who already hate me did. this isn't at this point even about what i've done, it's just about people trying to fuck me over because they already dislike me. why even pretend to have due process when whether someone get's unbanned is solely dictated by the admins who let their personal feelings influence their decision to this extend.

This is a situation where I'm pretty sure 95% of the community doesn't think i should be banned from MATCHMAKING because of a joke i made on the forums. probably about 80% of the community didn't give a fuck about the joke i made. only a few people in your admin team personally hate me and have used this as an excuse to get at me.

Next time someone says even slightly harmful on mm should i expect them to get permabanned forever, because i'd argue anything racist/homophobic is far more disgusting than a potentially untasteful joke.
