Because we're dealing with 50 year old influential politicians here and not 18 year olds playing videogames...
Perhaps some of us like immersion Evanovic.

I would also like to apologise to any ex- 91st member I have ever offended in the past, well, most of them.

If respect is to be lost here it's that of the some of the 91st members, who were willing to donate money to someone that believes anyone who is not white is 'sub-human'.

I respect the fact he was a good leader and people are mocking you and all that jazz, but some of the 91st members gave money to a nationalist that I remember mocked the holocaust and started 'bantering' with a German about being a 'Nationalsozialismus'. Tavington should have been boycotted long ago, and it shouldn't have taken a massive scandal such as his fraud for people to come to terms with that.

For that reason, there shouldn't be an apology to the 91st members, for there has been much hypocrisy at work here.

Donations were not solely for Tavington. People donated to the regiment to show their devotion and enjoyment of the regiment on a whole. Keeping aside this whole thing of Tav pocketing leftover money, money that was donated did in fact go to the running of the serverbox which kept our servers and TS up for the community of the 91st. Tav payed the serverbox himself many times off his own money too when nobody donated.

Fair enough you don't like Tav's personal views on certain things, but you clearly don't truly understand why people donated in the first place.

Anyway, on the topic of the OP, I'd like to say that I did not like seeing all the threads that were opened up that included the whole 91st. However, thank you for the apology.

As I have said many times . . . .

We should wait until we have heard both sides of the argument.

You have to realise Tav made a financial loss on the regiment overall. Yes, he may have kept some of the excess donations, but over the years he has usually been the one paying for the serverbox solely, and he's the one who paid the big set-up costs in the beginning. Not even to mention the amount of time he set aside to the regiment. This wasn't malicious embezzlement. The main reason it led to the disbanding of the regiment was the break down of trust between him and members.

Any colonel who ever leads a regiment, with the idea he will not end up paying for it, is wrong.
Two years without asking for a single donation.

That may be true, and of course, hosting servers and the teamspeak isn't cheap. However, in my mind then comes up. He could have told you lads and be honest? Then this would probly never happened.

This is where you're wrong. If he said 'donate to the serverbox if you feel like supporting the regiment' - the regiment that Tav funds, this means that donating inadvertedly supports Tav. And why would anyone feel that's wrong? By donating to Tav you donated to the regiment. It's just that he completely mishandled it with his members.

Why does it feel like you're defending him? Can't he speak for himself? Or is that troll still banned?

Tav often told us about how much he had to spend on keeping the server going. It was plain obvious that donations were there to help him help the regiment. Hard to realise why people don't get that. It was not malicious embezzling like some people have painted it. The reason why the regiment disbanded over it was because of that notion being propagated through the 91st ranks and the break down of trust when Tav's panicked forged documents came to light. There was no malice here, at worst it was financial and PR incompetence.

Do not get angry at someone because they have a different mindset on a situation then you. You're clearly trying to start an argument and completely ignoring the topic of this thread.

I never get angry. It was three simple questions, which he seem unable to answer anyway. Might just go do some running instead, after all its a beautiful day today :-*
