Title: Apology to ex-91st members.
Post by: Furrnox on October 05, 2013, 11:59:34 pm
I just wanted to officially apoligise to all of you dudes I should have made a Tavingtons Bankers or something like that thread and not include the 91st name.
My intention was not to offend any of you but to offend Tavington so I here by apoligise for my behavior.

Hopefully you can forgive me.

Screw all the people who are talking shit about the 91st. I didn't even really know what the 91st was until today. All I knew was it was lead by Tavington who is a douche. I can't speak for the rest of the officers, but I'm sure that the rest of the regiment are good people who have nothing to do with all this recent bullshit.

To be clear, though, so far I've only seen posts condemning the ridicule of the ex-91st members. I've only seen one slanderous comment and that was in the original expose thread. Is this because all the hateful posts are being cleansed by moderators and admins? Or is there a sensationalization of the hate going on here and most of it is not actually real?

If only that were true.
Just because you don't like the person or the community at large dislikes the person does not exempt you from the forum rules, many people learned this tonight.

I think some people take this game too seriously if they seriously get offended by people insulting the 91st

Of course a 91st member will feel insulted if people celebrate their demise... If all their work has gone down the drain and people now ridicule them. If you stuck to a regiment for 2 years and contributed to it becoming huge and now it disbands and everyone just trash talks what you helped form, you will feel bad.

Anyways, I personally accept your apology Furrnox.

If this makes sense the 91st was like that jock in school who is full of himself, although people didn't like him, he was a huge part of the team and it's hard to imagine what you would do without him. It both saddens me and gives me satisfaction since Tavington finally got a big fat slap from karma for all crap he would give people, constant insults, and bickering but it will also displace a lot of very talented people in the EU community.

tavington should have just stepped down (and the people who where in on it as well). He should have financed the servers for the regiment till they got a new host and were reorganiced.
In my oppinion he chose the most cowardly way out by disbanding the regiment and kicking every1 out ( u cant tell me that with over 100 members the 91st had they couldnt pull off a new regimental leadership if they were given the time).

In the end its a shame that the 91st had to end like this.

People should actually think about, the biggest NW regiment disbanded. The 91st held so many community events, like tournaments. Allmost everyone in this community, has thought about joining the 91st. The 91st is one of the longest standing regiments.

I forgive you Furrnox and anyone else.
Well said Jackie, I didn't know what happened until I saw on the forums on the 91st website about it being disbanded. To be honest I was going to leave a while ago but thought about it and loved being apart of such amazing regiment. Tav did a good job leading the company but I wish he wasn't arrogant etc. During my time being in the community, recording the 91st events, or random videos in which I be uploading the final video of the 91st in action which wasn't the best performance.

I'm not sure what to do or who to join next unless the 91st gets reformed in the future. It was disrespectful to hear what the whole community were acting. Keep in mind that some people do have feelings about their regiment. I know it's just a game (big deal) but like Jackie, and I know a few members who put so much effort into making their regiment better etc. Have all of my credit for their hard work and always have my respect. I did meet great friends and I hope we all stay in touch ;D

Sorry for the rant lol.
I'm proud ex-member of the 91st as a LCpl (1 year and 10 months service)

First of all, stop acting like you are some sort of higher being. Secondly, Nutty pig is a bit of a twat, yes. But did he rule over his regiment like a dictator and stole money from them? No. I don't think so. And above that, Tavington repeatedly insulted and threaten people just for hurting his ego.

But I don't like people talking trash about Tavington, because he did, what he did.
Nutty Pig Is just a troll, nothing less.
I personally has nothing against him or his personality, but I dont like his way of reacting to this.

please do continue so I can laugh more

In 1 week no one will give a toss that tav is gone so gg to the most hated guy in the community. He lied to his members and stole there money, meh he deserves all the abuse he gets, sure he led an amazing regiment (with alot of cool guys) but to actually steal from it?

thats low

now plz continue to bitch about how "tavington is getting so abused" whilst he runs off making around 1000 euros profit, but picking on nutty for voicing the opinion of a large majority of the community, meh grow up. If you don't like reading all the hate stay off the forums for a day or 2

To anyone else reading, please remember the actual members in the 91st are mostly nice guys it was just tavington himself ;)

If possible please lock the thread =)

If respect is to be lost here it's that of the some of the 91st members, who were willing to donate money to someone that believes anyone who is not white is 'sub-human'.

I respect the fact he was a good leader and people are mocking you and all that jazz, but some of the 91st members gave money to a nationalist that I remember mocked the holocaust and started 'bantering' with a German about being a 'Nationalsozialismus'. Tavington should have been boycotted long ago, and it shouldn't have taken a massive scandal such as his fraud for people to come to terms with that.

For that reason, there shouldn't be an apology to the 91st members, for there has been much hypocrisy at work here.

Donations were not solely for Tavington. People donated to the regiment to show their devotion and enjoyment of the regiment on a whole. Keeping aside this whole thing of Tav pocketing leftover money, money that was donated did in fact go to the running of the serverbox which kept our servers and TS up for the community of the 91st. Tav payed the serverbox himself many times off his own money too when nobody donated.

Fair enough you don't like Tav's personal views on certain things, but you clearly don't truly understand why people donated in the first place.

Anyway, on the topic of the OP, I'd like to say that I did not like seeing all the threads that were opened up that included the whole 91st. However, thank you for the apology.

You have to realise Tav made a financial loss on the regiment overall. Yes, he may have kept some of the excess donations, but over the years he has usually been the one paying for the serverbox solely, and he's the one who paid the big set-up costs in the beginning. Not even to mention the amount of time he set aside to the regiment. This wasn't malicious embezzlement. The main reason it led to the disbanding of the regiment was the break down of trust between him and members.

Any colonel who ever leads a regiment, with the idea he will not end up paying for it, is wrong.
Two years without asking for a single donation.

That may be true, and of course, hosting servers and the teamspeak isn't cheap. However, in my mind then comes up. He could have told you lads and be honest? Then this would probly never happened.

This is where you're wrong. If he said 'donate to the serverbox if you feel like supporting the regiment' - the regiment that Tav funds, this means that donating inadvertedly supports Tav. And why would anyone feel that's wrong? By donating to Tav you donated to the regiment. It's just that he completely mishandled it with his members.

Why does it feel like you're defending him? Can't he speak for himself? Or is that troll still banned?

Tav often told us about how much he had to spend on keeping the server going. It was plain obvious that donations were there to help him help the regiment. Hard to realise why people don't get that. It was not malicious embezzling like some people have painted it. The reason why the regiment disbanded over it was because of that notion being propagated through the 91st ranks and the break down of trust when Tav's panicked forged documents came to light. There was no malice here, at worst it was financial and PR incompetence.

Do not get angry at someone because they have a different mindset on a situation then you. You're clearly trying to start an argument and completely ignoring the topic of this thread.

Stop trying to stir things up, this is just a thread apologising to 91st members, nothing more.

Problem. I am only temp banned. And I have never been perm banned from your TS.

If you have such a fucking problem with the 91st and Tav then stop coming into our teamspeak.

Phoniex, you're still trying to defend Tavington and the 91st, stop it mate. :)

It's no point.

Why shouldn't he? If the whole of the community was attacking your regiment, would you not defend it?

All right, that's enough. If none of you can read a simple instruction:

This is an apology thread, not another excuse to discuss the whole 91st tirade. Please keep posts on topic.

Then this thread will be locked.
