Wow, there are quite a few there! I initially thought the one on the far left looks like the Military Cross but I am not so sure. Of the three grouped together in the bottom centre right I can tell that the right one is most likely the 1914-15 star and the ones next to them look like WW2 medals (I think I can see George VI cipher). There appear to be two WW1 Allied victory medals and at least one WW1 British victory medal. Not sure about the rest, I have a book on medals at home somewhere.
EDIT: Ah just read the link. Makes sense now. Yeah the medals should have their service number on them so they should not be too hard to track down. The medal card index for WW1 might be useful.

That is beautiful to see. I've been in the same situation when I was a teenager and I found two Military Medals with a star on one of them and my grand mother explained me that the second one was brought back from the Dardanelles by a mate of my great-great uncle who was with him when he fell. That is higly emotionnal for us history passionates to imagine in what went trough our actual grand-fathers.

Oh right! Well I can already tell you we found 3 new things on my Great Uncle. We found a really old vinal record of him being interviewed by the BBC about his bombing mission of the Skoda Arms Factories. We found the London Gazette articular that mentioned his DFC being awarded on the 1st August 1943.

Lastly we found this
Flight Lieutenant Richard Raymond Howgill. Died 3/8/1943 aged 21 piloting Lancaster III ED704 HW-C lost with all hands. Buried Kiel War Cemetery, Germany, 3.E.8.

Ou-oh, my great grandfather was Commander of an anti-aircraft-battery near Kiel for some time :P I'm going to research when exactly he served there...
He also was to France, I still own his spyglasses, the Iron Cross he had been awarded was taken away by US-soldiers when he became POW. Quite.... weird to imagine that one of my ancestors propably shot at one of yours  :-X

It'a possible aye, he's buried in Kiel but a lot of his missions took him to southern Germany and what was then Czechoslovakia.
