Very army green. Which is always good.
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

Greens never good. Especially for rifles.

Green with grey pants is even worse. Literally cancer.

Apparantly grey is the hardest to make out in a distance, which is why the Austrians dressed their light infantry in grey. They did tests and everything.

On a more serious note, the 2nd KGL is pretty nice.

These round hats weren't replaced until around 1812, with gradually declining use since their inception in 1791, unoffciialy they were often adorned with plumes, fur crests, white bands, etc. Despite the regulations only allowimg for a cockade with the round hat. (Regiments serving in the tropics). Some examples were white which was intended to be more cool but obviously didn't do much in that regard. In addition to these hats, troops serving in the tropics were permitted to wear white Gaiters.

The replacement was a white belgic or "bang-up" shako initially in white, later in just in black felt and some even made their way to Europe and Canada.

For more info on those white shakos and the specific regulations.

Don't want to necro this thread, but I urgently need some help. I have a workshop as you may have maybe seen and I wanted to know where you all get your high quality pictures from.
I know there are a lot of google images, but I am tired of always using the same soldier for like 10 different signatures. It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could give me other sources.
