You don't need to have a degree in physics to understand science is more than nuclear weapons and cars.

I'm not saying it's good for him not to eat fruit, but he basically does not need it if he gets the nutrition from other parts of his diet. Also, fruit is filled with sugar, so you should watch out on that front
