[Request] Troop text fix

Hello, my regiment just fixed our 44th skin but we were unable to get the Troop text updated.

For anyone who knows the old skin pack, we just want to old troop text updated to new NW standard.

The 33rd is renamed to 44th East Essex (Centre Company)

2nd Coldstream is renamed to the 44th East Essex (Grenadier Company)

51st is renamed to the 44th East Essex (Light Company)

Anyone who can do this would be much appreciated by the entire regiment, thank you in advance if you do wish to help us out.

It's very easy to do. Just get to NW's directory in your PC, edit search for troops.txt. Edit it with any text editor. Search for your desired troop starting from the in-game name and replacing spaces with _ . in the first case it ought to be 33rd_something. And then do it for all the other troops.

Thanks, Dany. I updated the troops.txt file and your method works great. Now onto the greater issue: getting the damned 44th skins to work again without nuking any of the other skins (sailor, marine, etc.).

We need to summon the Hinkel.

Actually Kotchi offered to fix the entire pack of Hinkel gives him permission to mess with it.

What do you mean "mess" with it? As long as nobody is editing the textures and sounds themselves without Hinkel's permission, we should not need permission just to make it work in the same game it was originally design for.

That's an OpenBrf problem not troops.txt.

I expected as much. I downloaded OpenBrf last night and opened up the british uniforms brf files and took a look. Everything looks fine. Now we just need the instruction to make the correct changes.

I have added you on Steam. My nickname is [44th] Amit, so there isn't too much mystery as to who I am when accepting the request haha. I want to thank you in advance for offering your services to us. Clearly has been waiting months for this to be completed, heh.

I don't know if you saw my post from last night, but I already fixed the troops.txt file. It was just a simple replacement of text edit. I have tested it in-game and it works just fine.

We're still looking for someone to assist us with fixing the skins to work with the latest version of Napoleonic Wars. Anyone out there?
