BRITISH NATAL COMPANY
BNC IS A FACTIONAL UNIT REPRESENTING THE NW REGIMENT KINGS HESSIAN INFANTRY
The British Natal Company is a Colonial raised Unit consisting of Natives who fight for the Empire and of Colonists from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India and of course Africa.
The regiment is commanded by a Canadian Gentleman who was living in South Africa at the time of the War and raised a local unit for Defence, it was a "Militia" regiment. The Unit soon grew strongly and George was approached by a Royal Representative of the Army from London to make his Regiment a regular colonial company. George approved this wonderful offer and chose to name his unit "The British Natal Company" The unit also consisted of some American folk who travelled to the South Africa colony. George soon chose his Commissioned Officers and his non-Commissioned Officers. The unit participated in 3 major battles of the Zulu War and gained these Battle Honours enscribed on their Regimental Colours.
