Issue with updating Napoleonic Wars

Okay, so I have the Steam version of Warband but my bro bought me Napoleonic Wars through Taleworlds. Wasn't a problem, just moved the files into my steam folder. However, with the last patch when I used the same method (downloaded through Taleworlds, then moved to Steam folders) it asked me for my NW CD Key whenever I tried to join a multiplayer server. I checked regedit but couldn't find my NW CD Key so I'm not sure what to do.

You can check your steam library for the key.

My NW isn't on Steam though. I start Warband on Steam and run the NW module. It doesn't matter anymore anyway, got another key to replace.
