Title: EU Community Rep Post / July-Sept Term
Post by: Blaze on July 01, 2019, 09:19:42 pm

Hello! I am very grateful for being given the opportunity to be the EU Community Representative for the July - September term, my main goal is to focus on the overall community rather than just one sector although in my CR Application I was more interested in focusing on the casual community this does not mean entirely that I will be forgetting the competitive community at all! because I have less experience in the competitive community I am not going to be abandoning it at all however I ask for those members in the competitive community that want things to happen, to help me to help you by coming forward with ideas you may have so that they may be discussed further.

My goals and objectives briefly:
- To be the voice of the community and ensure that its members are being given the opportunity to have their ideas put forward and to have the opportunity to express how they feel about the community and what things could be done to improve it.
- Influx of new community members, I plan on trying to increase the community's current population in a number of different ways some ways that I listed on my application were to create unique sub-boards and such.
- Assist the moderation team with moderating the forums, helping out with settling disputes within the community and trying to cut down on the general toxicity that lays within the community.
- Review the community currently and come up with suggestions that could be used to improve things such as dying sub-boards, while also tackling another other forum issues that are currently showing colours.
- Also going to be looking at attempting to host both casual fun events and competitive events, will also be looking at hosting overall community events with prizes to be won ect.

As a community representative, it is my responsibility to ensure the community are being listened to and that anything the community want is brought up to the table of the FSE moderation team and is put up for discussion, so I would really like to hear your feedback as a community on what things you'd like to see implemented or changed.

My main goal regarding events and such is going to be something in which the whole community can participate in meaning the competitive players and casual players, however as I’ve mentioned before I am not completely abandoning the competitive side of the community, it in itself is self sustaining however I am willing to give it a go with the help and support of the competitive community to host events and such for them.

If yourself or anyone else has any ideas they would like to bring forward feel free to private message me in the forums or add me on steam.

I think regarding events you should get in contact with TOG if a helping hand is needed.

Any plans for mods? I can help you with Iron Europe, which is getting some life again. I could also use some help in the dev team of the mod.

  • Iron Europe
  • North and South
  • Red and Blue
Noted, would you also be interested in Anglo Zulu, Native and such?

I guess Anglo Zulu could be nice (I forgot that one) however I think that it isn't so suited for events honestly.

Honestly, at this point Blaze, I would just have something done (regardless of wherever it's IE, N&S or R&B) rather than having a week between each of your posts. It's been now nearly a month that you have been elected and you have not given us a single update regarding your actions. I perfectly understand that your work is not done in regards to the competitive community, but that doesn't mean people are not interested to hear about what you have achieved so far with your new role, what you are currently doing at this moment, and what you plan on working for the rest of your term.

Just look at what your NA colleague has done for instance: https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=42081.msg1860545#msg1860545. That's the kind of update I'm talking about. A little bit of transparency is always appreciated, even if it's just listing several things which happened on the forums and have nothing to do with your CR position/work. It means you feel concerned and that's what people often care about.

I mean he doesn't play the game along with the majority of people whom apply for this position in EU, none of them will ever do anything useful.

I was sincerely hoping Blaze would be different from Chicken. There is still time but from the way it started, I'm not filled with confidence obviously.

I apologize that I couldn’t keep to the standards that I had set myself, my goals where to focus on the overall community and create a more enjoyable and fun atmosphere, in recent events something had come towards me as a shock regarding a close call about a family members life and how it was to lead up to it, I will allow the FSE Administration team to decide what happens with the EU CR because I cannot continue especially with almost losing a family member I do not feel like I am in the correct mindset to continue doing and giving the community what I promised, I hope maybe in the future I am able to have another chance but I am sorry to all those I have let down.
