I've been testing out effective strategies in RTW DM Multiplayer, and I have found that playing Egypt, getting 3 G/G Pharaohs Guard, 3 G/G Ptolemaic Garrisons, 2 Nubian Spearmen 1Chev each, 4 Pharaoh's Bowmen G attack, and 3 Egyptian Chariots G/G is really effective for 17,500 Denarii.

It basically allows you to engage any number of phalanxes (due to the number of men in the Ptolemaic Garrisons, which are HUGE.) and the Pharaoh's Guards for flank charges, because they only have medium spears. (And they kick ass with swords!) and flank with chariots, and leave your general's chariot in the back, for inspiration to your men, and intimidation to theirs, as typically Phalangites have low morale, use the Nubians to flank and hit the back, and the phalanx will fall swiftly. Also, Pharaoh's Bowmen kick arse in melee, they can beat Armoured Sarissforoi. Plus chariot flank charges leads to one hell of a dead phalanx, and their cavalry and archers are not worth worrying about due to the chariots.

It's a decent strategy, I've found. It seems to work rather well against any phalanx-based army.

I honestly see no point in this thread. There is already threads for separate games, its useless, that much is evident by the lack of posts here.

Im going to report the thread for reason of spam. Good day sir.

Pretty much. Why do so many people insist on post whoring?

I felt like the multiple threads for the various Total War games would be more of a spam-causing bundle of threads, than a single thread that limits it down a bit.

Sorry, I won't use logic again.

Its not logical, if that is logical then we best delete all of the sections and all of the threads and replace it all with one thread to talk about everything, because that reduces spam.

I don't intend to cause an argument, just stating my opinion on purpose and uselessness of the thread, I am sure the FSE moderators will be able to deem whether or not this thread is useless.

It is nowhere near logic, perhaps it would be logic on the surface if you don't think about it. What this will end up being is a big mess of confussion.

And Daniel is king almighty, whatever the fuck he wants goes!  ::)

Shogun 2 is by far my favorite Total War game. Right now testing all the factions, which one I like the most and stuff. I am debating whether or not to get Fall of the Samurai.

Let's get on topic. Because this is not going to turn into a "Bash Audiate because we all think he's a spammer" thread.

My favorite Total War in a lot of ways would probably be Shogun 2. It lacks things I like from Empire and Napoleon, but does things well in its own regard. A smaller map is also quite enjoyable, it reminds me of when I first discovered Total War, and played the Rome Introduction.

Well with your post count it's clearly evident your a spammer.

A pointless thread indeed it's clear that the others are there to be used, no need for this one.

So true Odysseus, but for once I have to agree with Daniel og Biggun.

Can't this thread be locked until something is decided by the admins?
