We installed the vet rank later on and we use the rank in the literal sense of the word. A veteran of the regiment, someone that has been here for at least 6 months but is not quite at the level of grenadier yet. We consider Vet an equal rank to Gren. Then again any ranks below Nco are only neat little names so it's not like it matters anyways. Tbh this isn't a roleplay reg anyways so idk why you would expect the ranks to be in line with real life.
