Bump! Updated roster! Lots of brits :O
I have also changed the rank Fusilier to Soldat for abit more accuracy. It also looks better.
Id argue that Soldat would be less accurate than Fusilier for Prussian infantry, however Fusilier would pertain only to the 3rd battalion of the regiment. The 1st and 2nd battalion would have Musketier as the stand in rank, but meh what do I know.
Depends on the type of unit we would play. We are a Leib Infantry unit. So the rank would have either been Gmnr or Sdt. If we were a normal Fusilier battalion then you would be right.
Fusilier just doesnt feel right.
The 8. Leib Infanterie were still infact
just an infantry regiment despite the Leib connotation. they were one of the Old 12 infantry regiment from Prussia but the rank Gemeiner would only be used in a voluntary context like that of landwehr if im not mistaken. The way a Prussian infantry regiment is set up is so that its somewhat of a mini functioning army, The 1st and 2nd Battalions were Musketier Battalions. The 3rd Battalion was a Fusilier Battalion, aswell as there usually being a Freiwilliger Jager unit for each of these infantry regiments which were volunteer riflemen. Soldat as far as ive come to know it is more a generalization than a rank, as in a general name for an infantry soldier where as depending on your Battalion specialization you would be either a: Musketier, Fusilier, Grenadier or Freiwillige Jager.
