Officer Aim (OA) is not allowed except when the enemy line is actively charging. If a regiment breaks off their charge and resumes a stable formation, the officers once again qualifies for OA protection.
27.1.    Acting officers are not covered under the same OA protection as regular officers. This includes the officer in the back who if they do not go officer, they are not protected.
27.2.    Players will be slain without warning if it is clear that they are actively shooting at the enemy officer. They don’t need to have hit or killed the officer yet.
27.3.    A reset of the round will ONLY occur if the officer that was killed by OA requests it. Otherwise, only the slay of the offender will occur.
A.    If the two regiments are in a shooting engagement larger than 20 meters away and are stationary (possibly moving depending on how far away), the officer will be revived and may continue leading the round.
B.    This section is to define what referees will do at certain ranges of an shooting engagement. At long range, if an officer is shot he will be revived and the person who shot him will not be slayed. However, if this continues to happen that person will be slayed for intentional OA. At medium range, if the officer is shot he will be revived but the person who shot him will be slayed. At close range, if the officer is shot he will not receive a revive and the person who shot him will be slayed. The officer at close range may reset the round if it does not conflict with the “significant advantage rule” (Rule 27). At other ranges, a reset is not required due to the officer being revived.
C.    Referee’s discretion will determine what ranges will be considered close, medium, and long range.
27.4.    Multiple instances of the same player committing OA in a match will result in their removal of the match. If this behaviour persists into following matches, they will be placed on probation.
27.5.    Officers placing themselves in front, behind, or in the middle of their horizontal line formation while moving or stationary do not qualify for OA protection and are legitimate targets.
