Brilliant news that we all got our matches played yesterday, thanks to Jakob for reffing our own one and wp to the GardeKorps; it was fantastic to see at least 25 man lines all round!
Tardets match as he says went well in the 1st half but quickly deteriorated in the 2nd... I would remind participants to maintain some respect for your opponents and especially the referee as they have taken time out to do this for you. We've all been through matches where the odds turn against us but if we can go through to the end with a bit of grace it would be appreciated. All the same thankyou for both teams seeing this match through to the end.
The Iron Crusaders & PFU match was a very difficult one as it involved no referees from spec, as we were in the unfortunate situation where most of the active referees were taking part in matches or reffing others! Fortunately these two teams rose to the occasion and were able to play a somewhat decent match on amicable terms from start to finish. It is worth mentioning this was played without locked teams. Fortunately with the quantity of matches decreasing into the next stage we shouldn't find ourselves in a similar ref shortage again.
Only 1 match remains to be organised between the 3pp/FKG & the 2nd/1stEB team before we can move on to sorting the knock-outs!
