По времето на имперетрица Екатерина II от Санк-Петербургск 1762-1796 се решава създаването на български гвардейски полкове тъй, като много българи са имигрирали в руската империя от турското нашестявие, но българите ги има в руската империя още от времето на Волжка България (например генерал-фелдмаршал Михаил Кутузов)
Нашата империалска гвардия се бие по всички крайща на цяла Европа включително срещу Наполеон, но най вече във войната за освобождението на балканските народи от Османската империя, като за Сърби, Словенци, Хървати и Гърци. По това време също са се създавали революционни групи, като чети,опълченци които са вдигали сериозни въстания и са създавали проблеми на турските окупатори. Официално България е освободена на 3 март, 1878г.
The story of our regiment: During the time of Catherine II of Saint-Petersburg 1762-1796 a bulgarian guard regiment is created, due to the many bulgarians that immigrated in Russia during the turkish invasion, but there were bulgarians even from the time of Volga Bulgaria(For example general-fieldmarshal Mihail Kutuzof)
Our imperial guard fights all over europe, including against Napoleon, but it participates the most in the liberation of the Balkan countries from the Turkish Empire, like Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and Greece. During that time a lot of revolutionary groups are created, like small war parties of revolutionaries that made serious uprising attempts and were making problems for the turkish occupation. On the 3rd of March 1878 the Bulgarian country was officially liberated
