Love to sometimes have a nosey on the old forums to still see projects like these still been created for the cavalry regiments, really good job.

Love the descriptions of each regiment as well, a really nice touch.

Good luck with this!

Hi everyone,

Really happy about the 3 years. Started as a project that me and Erik only dreamed about to then actually making it happen, so many problems we had to push through but people that cared stayed, and became legends and the backbone of the regiment. Erik, don't think there has ever been a better leader than you and the 4e is the proof of it, amazing work you've done man. Even though im retired im still so proud of the regiment and happy its lived on even after my leaving.

Hope to many more, I'll make sure to stop by the teamspeak someday. :)

That was a great match, sadly my internet went out for the intense rounds however i was there most of the time!

Finally after 2 unsuccessful attempts to even get into the final we finally got there, and we won it! Can't express how proud I am of the boys and how well we played throughout the tournament, its been a pleasure. Also special mention to Glenn who has been a superb vice-captain even though there were differences that needed to be settled but also sadly couldn't be there for the final. This team showed how teamwork and good spirit can bring you to the top, every game we played we played for fun and enjoyed ourselves while playing. We lost every single friendly but we had fun while playing them and learned a lot about each other. I feel like we got a bit written off this tournament with having old out of touch faces appearing and less young "cav gf" talent in the team, however i am glad we could prove everyone wrong to go on to win it. Every player on the roster had done their bit and showed good character (quoting brendan rodgers here) to go on win the tournament. Big thanks to Paula and Erik for hosting a awesome tournament with interesting interviews, after match summaries and facts which made the tournament a lot more fun!

With this tournament ending so will my time with NW, after 3 years of being in the community. As a captain who started with a handful of inexperienced men under CENKRIS to winning everything with my regiment and then even the Cavalry Nations Cup as captain. I've done it all, this tournament being the last thing on my list I can now happily leave the community done everything I set out to do. I want to thank 4e hussards and old boys from the 15th Hussars the most for being the greatest community I've been part off, honestly the best guys I have ever met. The amount of fun I had there is mind blowing from this simple game i stumbled into after watching a shitty Malakith video, and so happy i did watch those 40 minutes of a shitty clusterfuck siege. Even outside the regiment I met a lot of wonderful people and also some huge cunts but thats what made the game great. Much love to Erik, for organising the event and making it a great experience but mostly for being one of the best guys i have ever met. 3 years of knowing this french connard and not once i doubted or thought anything bad of him, amount of memories shared will stay with me for a while. I couldn't have had a better successor at 4e than him and im sure he will end up winning everything soon enough.

And if anyone wonders what i'll be doing with my life, im on my way becoming a professional CS:GO player so you might see me on TV soon enough ;)

Thanks again for a great tournament and much love to everyone <3

The problem I'm currently facing is that most regimental commanders who know their respective communities well, are listing out-dated players, which then again means that the rest neither know them nor can rate them. Opinions about other players vary, a lot. We need to balance cavalry groupfighting up to tournaments, leagues, 1 vs 1s, and so forth. I depriotise cavalry groupfighting scores over 1 vs 1 (regiment vs. regiment, btw) or tournament/league scores, whilst others think it is a major part of being considered a good cavalry player. And it's also hard to receive non-biased opinions about own/former members. Also, many of the former good cavalry players have outdated knowledge of the same players they used to play with (something I noticed quickly). Hence I decided that I will only use peoples' current skill level to rate them; not their previous unmatched glories. So yah, it's a big and demanding project.

So Rival, Majestic etc. wont be included because they dont play cavalry anymore?

I have so far worked closely together with Rival regarding the matter. However, I'm comparing people up to each other and including scores from various events, leagues and tournaments, etc.. I don't just go "He was good. 94. Yah, no, wait, I'm feeling more like a 95." I am trying to base the ratings upon something, not just gut-feeling. In addition, I've also had several problems with rating some players because opinions vary a lot around them. This is normal. You might experience Majestic (just an example, as you mentioned him) as amazing whilst someone else tells me that they easily rekt them in a 1 vs 1. But to answer your question more precisely, if it proves too complicated to compare former cavalry players with more recent or still-playing cavalry members, I will focus on recent times instead, yes. When in TS with Erik, Cooper and Rival, we already discussed this issue. Should we add players that won't even know about the fact that they are referred to in the rating list or are really inactive? We concluded: No, it would be a waste of time/effort.

I hope this somewhat answered your question.

Why not ask the melee guys how they did it? They have a lot more players compared to cavalry and they have players that dont play anymore in their list. As far as ive seen no-one is complaining either. Surely it must be a lot harder for them to do it yet they seemed to manage fine with all time ratings.

You're free to take over the project if it so easy. -_o_-

I didnt say it was easy, i just feel like its being over complicated seeing as melee one was done so well even with mostly opinion based. Even NA made one with current and all time leaderboards which again im pretty sure was mostly opinion based (besides the current players list i think). If you need help with opinions on certain players pretty sure all the leaders would be willing to help, also with myself having led 15th Hussars for so long.

Dont take it as an attack im just trying to help out.
