Wow, those look great Beta! You should release them as replacers for French Empress Dragoons so they have the guns. Unfortunately, the French hussars don't have carbines or pistols, otherwise i would have said replace the French hussars.Well all officers get pistols, including french hussars, so I think it would make sense to replace them with the french hussar officer, since the skin is for an officer.

I was wondering that too. I don't think you can considering I tried to have both Beta's French marines and Attila the nun's footguards and they didn't work with each other. I think they edit the same file so having two overrights the other one.
Sadly you cannot use two skins that uses brittain as an exchangeble faction to swap a unit:
When you skin the brits you are forced to change the brf file (file that contains all the uniform models an skins) called mmbrits_uniform.brf. Now attila and i made 2 different skins changing the same faction. So obviously you will have 2 different versions of mm_brits... So you can only use one of them. Sad isnt it? Wish i could like make a program that add the units for you instead of having to merge the brf files together...

I've always thought of Beta as going for more specialist units, 1st foot guards really aren't much different to the 2nd or 3rd...Just buttons done different, New badges and new flags. Really not worth getting excited about...unless bicorns.
No. You can't have multiple reskins per faction, as far as I know. Because each reskin requires special files to be installed that are often shared by other units, sometimes cross factions.

It would be more logical to replace the UK. The UK and the Dutch had similar uniforms during the time of the NW DLC is based. And, they were obviously allied. Plus, it'll be a real pan in the ass to replace the loads of Austrian units.
What are you on about? They were a highland regiment up to 1809 when they became a normal line regiment wearing normal line uniform. So when you say highlanders wearing non highland uniform you mean highlanders in a line regiment. Ergo a line regiment.

There's a Freikorps pack that contains the shako cover. I don't think it was made public, but I may be able to help and get the download for that. With permission, I am sure you can use the covers. You have to ask Beta, though. I'm just the official tester. :-\

There are ways of making a more aesthetically pleasing bullet trail, ones that look just like the trails in Fall of the Samurai and NTW. You need to use one of those "glowing" meshes/textures for the trail, and size it nicely to fit the bullet.

Which is why the helmet was explicitly forbidden 1800, 5 years after it was abolished. Wearing one was now against direct orders and punishable. The reason bicornes were worn for a few years was simply because regiments did not receive their shakos at once. Once they did, colonels were obliged to have his men wear the things or he'd be up for court martial.
There's a difference between the dis-uniformity happening on campaign and directly ignoring regulations and orders, which is something the army was not a great fan of.

How is it new? There are no line infantry units with Bicornes and there are no line units with tarletons. Only arty units (Brits and Austrians) have those headwear....
Again, the Perthshire had Helmets. They actually baited a cavalry charge because the French thought they were dismounted Dragoons.

No they weren't allowed to have epaulettes. The War ministry decreed in 1808 that the only distinction between fusilier dress and voltiguer dress was to be a yellow collar, and it was prohibited for regiments to use funding to buy epaulettes for voltiguers.
