I personally see christianity as two different things:

 - The vatican: Basicly -> Christianity = vatican income (corrupt, misleading and power hungry)

 - True believers -> People practising a religion, nothing wong with it.
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

Haha, I was wondering who would make this thread.

I see Christianity as the religion that has drawn the basis of the western morals.
Ofcourse there has been some wars here and there but it wasn't really christianity's fault.
The people used their religion as a reason to pilage and make money.

Whilst I somewhat dislike it I still respect it for what it has done for Europe.
One of the problems I have with it is it's not a native religion of Europe however, as if it has eclipsed the old religions, and it's caused divisions amongst a lot of people.

Much of Christian text we read today were compiled and written by "Europeans" and Christianity has been practiced in some areas of "Europe" for over a thousand years. The idea that it is not Native to Europe because some parts of the bible focus on people from an area of land not considered to be Europe is ridiculous.

That's not why it's not considered native to Europe. The reason is because it was, quite literally not native to Europe. The Roman empire was not christian. The tribes in the rest of Europe were also not Christian. Some of these tribes like the ones in the Baltic stayed with their old ways until they were forced to convert by the Christians. How is this native? It's a word with a very basic definition, and I don't see how anyone could know what the word means and at the same time attempt to claim that Christianity is native to Europe.

As with all religion, if we followed it to the mark we'd all be stoning whores and killing women for not wearing their hair tied back.

And Christianity is unique in forcible indoctrinating people? Why would Christianity not be native to modern Europe they have both evolved with each other and neither would be recognisable had the other not existed.

As with all religion, if we followed it to the mark we'd all be stoning whores and killing women for not wearing their hair tied back.
If you followed the Bible to the mark you wouldn't have to, believing that God can forgive your sins after what Jesus did on the cross.

People start realizing the holy book is barbaric and describes a jealous and vengeful God. Better take all that out to preserve humanity.
