Competitive EU Events/Tournaments / [FG]2v2 Infantry Tournament 08.2.14 [Ended]

Introduction:

[FG] or The Foot Guards is a melee clan made by myself, we used to host inter-clan tournaments (See history). Now I feel it is time to open these up to the public, starting with the 2v2 Tournament I had promised my members. Once this tournament is over there will be one tournament hosted by [FG] every two months if all goes to plan. So grab yourself a partner and get ready to dance the dance of death. The Tournament will be held on Saturday the 8th of February at 8pm (UK time). Sign ups will close on the 2nd of February.

Rules:

-No shooting.
- Line infantry are the only unit classes allowed.
- No Jump stabbing or fisting.
- Bayonets are the only weapons allowed.
- Fights are 2 players vs 2 players.
- You have to sign up the team with at least two members and max 3 (One sub - this sub cannot be switched mid fight unless the other player has disconnected for over 3 minutes.).
- Fights are single elimination, if you lose you're out.
- The Winner of each group will go onto the finals.
- Fights will be first to Three when in the Group stage, Once in the Finals it will become first to 5.
- Be gracious in Victory and defeat, if you wish to question an admins decision then please do so through steam.
- Once a person is called out to fight they have roughly 3 minutes to spawn in, if not then they will be disqualified.

Servers / SwordFighting Server

Overview:

The SwordFighting Server is essentially a groupfighting server which allows swords and has a unique set of maps, we hope to create the atmosphere of a good area to train for a LineBattle by getting a mix of swordsman and infantry, players will have to practise blocking all directions giving them more of an experience and training for LineBattle's than just being able to block against Bayonets, it should hopefully give them some advantage against Officers so they no longer feel the need to shoot them. This server is hosted by Artic Servers.

1) No shooting.
2) Do not prolong the rounds (running away or fist fighting included, unless consent given by an admin).
3) Do not abuse other players within the server (verbally).
4) Do not team kill, although accidental team kills will be excused.
5) Do not abuse the admins, this also goes the other way round, no admin abuse spawning admin weapons etc.
6) Do not use any weapons other than Swords and Bayonets.

Competitive EU Events/Tournaments / United Kingdom and Ireland Regional 5v5 Cup [Ended]

Information/Overview:

This tournament was inspired by the NWEC and brought to you by the Napoleonic Wars community, a Special thanks to Felix for the header and for letting me use his server (hopefully) and McPero for other reasons. The Tournament will be hosted on the 18th of January at 20.00 GMT. Sign ups close on the 3rd of January and Captains will be decided on the 13th of December (Unless voted otherwise).

Rules:

1. No shooting.
2. Only Infantry muskets are to be used.
3. Only line infantry which means no foot guards, Marines, Grenadiers or Militia.
4. No fisting, Jump-stabbing or Jump-blocking.
4. Only 5 members of each team can be in the arena fighting.
5. Team has to have at least 6 members on the roster.
6. Maximum number of members is 9.
7. In order to partake in the regions team you must have either been born in that area or currently live there.
9. On permission of the event organiser, regions can team up in certain circumstances (E.G Berkshire and Hampshire) This is on the basis that the other region have not already entered a team.
10. A team can be from multiple regions if none of those regions have entered a team (But only one team may be like this).
11. If the tournament does not have enough teams other nations may be included into this tournament.
12. If you want to enter a team you must apply to be a team captain using the application format below. The organisers will decide then and will notify you if accepted or rejected.
13. Unlike the NWEC all matches will be held on one day in a Round-Robin  format (Where each team plays each other at least once in order to create something similar to a mini league.).
14. Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland will be one region each, where as England will be split into regions or counties.
15. We have either 9 or 10 teams.


Format:  

As Said in the rules the tournament will be held in a Round-Robin fashion where each team will fight each other at least once, if you win the fight you get a point and of course if you lose you get nothing. The fights will be best of five rounds. If any teams have equal points at the end of the seven fights then they will have a final fight to decide who gets the higher place of the two. We will try to get these all done in one night from 20.00-22.00 GMT, if this is not possible I will talk to Captains to see when they can do the last of their fights.

3. The Server will be given to the Captains through Steam 30 minutes before the event, you are expected to be in at least 10 minutes before the start time.

4. All members of the team can spawn in but only 5 may enter the arena, the other 5 may stay outside and watch so long as they're not distracting.

5. No killing in the arena unless you are told to fight. If someone kills out of the rules he will be punished with a kick and if he repeats himself it will be a ban.

6. When the round is over surviving players stay in the arena and you will be healed. Players who have respawned are not allowed to enter the arena until told to do so.

7. If anything isn't clear you can ask me in Steam, I will be online during fights but please don't spam me as I may also be participating.

About The Foot Guards:

The Foot Guards is a melee based clan for Mount and Blade:Warband, Napoleonic Wars. To get in add one of us on Steam to talk about trials (1v1 in melee) to see if your are good enough to join. Just now we are a social group but if we get enough players we may start attending line battles on days where we have no events with our regiments or later on at night (This clan does not affect regiments.).

8e Régiment d'artillerie

The 8e Régiment d'artillerie are a French artillery unit who look to bombard the battlefield with cannonball upon cannonball into the enemy team. The 8e Régiment d'artillerie are an experienced team when it comes to cannons but that does not stop someone with little or no experience being allowed to join. Everyone is accepted into the ranks, show you hit a man in the face with that cannonball then you could see yourself working up the ranks, promotions are rewarded for Activity, Artillery Skills, Melee in some cases and discipline are all taken into account when the staff choose who to promote. Although all of this discipline and maturity is still expected even though the 8e Régiment d'artillerie like to allow have everyone to have fun in the regiment whilst killing line upon line of enemy.

Events: EU / The Foot Guards [FG] 1vs1 forum.

A Brief Overview

The Foot Guards (And maybe some friends ;P) are looking for opponents for 1 vs 1s on certain days. We currently have every day available for hosting events, times may vary from 7-8:30pm GMT. We would look to have 20 vs 20 and room for substitutes in spectators. It may also be pointed out that we may record this and put it onto youtube. As the Foot Guards are the elite of a mixture of different regiments. We would look to play maybe 1 vs 1 as a linebattle overall or even 1 vs 1 in melee or just shooting. I am open to all variants of 1 vs 1 as I see linebattles as fun as a community but the pings within events are questionable and me and a lot of the other Foot Guards would prefer to attend competitions which it actually takes skill to win with low pings and not the average run of the mill spammer who gets a ridiculous amount of kills without having any particular skill. This is the issue I have with having over 100 people in events. I am open to suggestions from other regimental organisers and would welcome your suggestions.

Also the rules of 1 vs 1s can be debated and are open to discussion. However some rules maybe put in place before they are debated. This includes: No officer aiming, even in the charge,  firing in charge IS allowed, substitutes are available on stand-by in spectators in case any drop out. There maybe two officers in the line one on each side of the line or however the regiment would like it to be set out!

Hopefully this is a chance for the Foot Guards to get a name for themselves in terms of reputation and where I stand as the elite part of the Community and how we can improve as a unit! A few regiments have put forward a few suggestions to 1 vs 1 and even offered us 1 vs 1, this is your chance to play us!
