telling people to kill themselves, even if it's obviously not serious, isn't necessarily part of the encouraged behaviour on FSE and in the sense, your warning is totally justified
with the huge amount of stupidity we allow on these forums on a daily basis, we have to draw the line somewhere if we don't want FSE to end-up being a complete mess
beside, homophobic and racist messages are dealt with when being reported.
