This looks good, hopefully it'll be fun
When you planning to start?
Does anyone remember Duuring's Napoleonic era forum game where you could choose which regiment you would lead? We could do that maybe, but in 1941 with Operation Barbarossa.
I need this forum game. Tell me if there's any way I can help you.Does anyone remember Duuring's Napoleonic era forum game where you could choose which regiment you would lead? We could do that maybe, but in 1941 with Operation Barbarossa.
Yes I have something like this in mind. We could take any huge operation of WW2, each player takes one or more divisions and acts as General. I think this would be really cool!
Instead of divisions, you could also do small-scale scenarios with players commanding only one batallion/regiment or small brigades. One can think of scenarios like the invasion of Danzig, but also Netherlands, Denmark or Norway.
Operation Sealion could be interesting.Barbarossa with 3 German Generals and 3 Soviet generals. (Northern Army, Middle, and Southern romanian and german forces) Would be keewl. And later on a US Player and a Commonwealth play could d day, while italian player fights in north afrika and who cares about asia
Ted is busy, but I'm trying to make this work out. I keep thinking which war/invasion would be good and I keep leaning towards Operation Barbarossa. What would war/invasion would you guys want?
I'm trying to make the game big where every battle will have an effect, but I don't want these battles to be a mess with 200 000 men on each side where it's so difficult to keep everything organized, but that's what WW2 battles were like! I'm starting to think if I should make it like Duuring's old napoleonic forum game (if anyone remembers that).Ok kk just start!!
Start what? I'm still working on this and still trying to figure out which style of game would be the best. Would you guys be interested in Operation Overlord, the past few days after D-Day?I'd really enjoy that actually.
I'm almost done writing the units, now I just need a good map.I'll try see if I can work on something.
Idk if we're really going to do this, maybe we could try out that alternate-world BoP.I'm almost done writing the units, now I just need a good map.I'll try see if I can work on something.
We need to get a structured WWII game, maybe not a BoP but something more rule based and organized.... So one of you get this up please.Like a tabletop wargame?
I don't like the whole character things. We should have generals leading an army and fighting each other and also dealing with industry, recruiting more units, and dealing with political issues such as allies ect.
That would work.I don't like the whole character things. We should have generals leading an army and fighting each other and also dealing with industry, recruiting more units, and dealing with political issues such as allies ect.
Well, maybes not create our characters, but roleplay as fictional characters from the time. And I like the sound of that.
So will this actually happen?Don't think so. I'd be willing to start this in a Napoleonic or WWII style but I don't know if people would be interested.
