I believe that the high command went as follows:

CdB (Chef de Battalion)


Instead of the other way around. 

In my study, Major and Chéf de Battalion were pretty much the same rank. That's how I had it in my 88e anyway... There was no major.

About

Welcome to the New Official Forum page of the 88e! We were originally founded in January of 2013 as the 88th Connaught Rangers, but on February 17th of that year we defected to France and become the 88e Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne. We are an active French Line Infantry Regiment that has been been playing for the past month. We are a regiment that tries to have fun while remembering that discipline is a very important part of success, and we try to ensure that everyone has a great time.

During the Williamite wars in the late 17th century, the Berwick regiment of the Irish Brigade - a brigade of 5 Jacobite regiments full of exiles and rebels against the English Crown - swore allegiance to the King of France in exchange for a much larger force of French Infantry to aid the Irish Jacobite's.



When the French Crown was overthrown the Berwick regiment retained their loyalty to the French in order to spite the English Crown that had exiled them from their homeland. In 1796, they merged with several other regiments and battalions to form the 88e.

The 88e were involved in many major battles, and their valour, skill, and discipline earned them a great many number of awards and thanks from Napoleon himself.

Les Règlements

1. All members must act honourably, especially at Linebattles and Trainings. Do not retaliate to teamkills, teamwounds, or insults.

2. All promotions are based on performance. Promotion to Garde or Buteur requires success in a tryout, and promotion to an officer position from that of an Enlisted Man requires success in a linebattle tournament against all other candidates.

3. Members are expected to be active within reason, the administration understands that many people cannot make daily events, and requires at bare minimum one weekly appearance.

4. The 88e is against discrimination and any discriminative behaviour will result in immediate reprimanding.

5. Persons of an unsavoury nature or those with destructive influences will be removed from the regiment

6. During Linebattles and Trainings, all Enlisted Men must use PTS (Permission to Speak). If you break PTS 3 times in an event, you will be muted for the duration of that event.
