Events: NA / IX Korps Monday Night Event
« on: August 20, 2020, 04:53:28 am »

This will be the event that is going to be replacing the 2ndHan Monday Event due to their resignation of the Monday and Wednesday events. We thank them for hosting these events. With this being said, we would like to try our best to provide a well rounded event for all. Below will be all the rules and communication/signup information.

It is you and your regiment's responsibility to read over the rules and forward any questions to the admins.

Rules will be similar to the Monday event but slightly modified. Found below in the spoiler.

Spoiler
General Rules
You must signup with at least 3 people.
Those who break specialty limits will receive slays starting with the highest rank present.
If you fall under 3 at any time in the event, you must find a friendly line or friendly artillery position. Artillery does not need to follow this.
Intentional TK will not be tolerated. The offender will be slain and the victim will be revived.
Trolling, bushpirating, baiting other regiments are not tolerated.
Musketoons are allowed.
Do not spam sapper works.
Specialty units are not allowed to split unless they are artillery. Artillery may split their arty pieces wherever.
Chat has no filter, but do not spam.
Listen to the admins when applicable. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
Actual complaints/recommendations are to go to the admins, not in-game chat. In-game chat complaints are IGNORED.
Regiment Leaders may request bans on their OWN members only.
Regiment Leaders may request heals, revives, etc before the 1st person is killed.
Pistols are considered melee.

Regiments / 31st Regiment of Foot (NA) (Est 2020)
« on: March 24, 2020, 08:01:44 pm »

History

In 1694, during the Nine Years' War, Sir Richard Atkins was authorised to raise a regiment of foot for service in Ireland. Sir Richard Atkins's Regiment of Foot was duly formed. In 1694 the colonelcy of the unit changed and it became Colonel George Villier's Regiment of Foot. With the signing of the Treaty of Ryswick in 1697 the war came to an end. Villier's Regiment was duly disbanded in 1698.

By 1702 England was again involved in a European conflict which became known as the War of the Spanish Succession. Villiers was commissioned to reform his regiment as marines. In February 1702 George Villier's Regiment of Marines (or the 2nd Regiment of Marines) was reraised.

The unit took part in the capture and defence of Gibraltar in July 1704. It subsequently took part in a number of actions in Spain and the Mediterranean, including the capture of Barcelona and Majorca. The regiment's title changed with the name of its colonel: Alexander Luttrell in 1703, Joshua Churchill in 1706 and Sir Henry Goring in 1711.

With the signing of the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713 the war came to an end. The majority of the marine regiments were disbanded, with some retained and converted to line infantry. Gorings Marines were one of these and became Sir Henry Goring's Regiment of Foot, with precedence as the 31st regiment of foot. The unit saw action repelling the Jacobite rising of 1715. They then spent twenty-six years manning garrisons in Ireland and England

Regiments / 105th Madras Light *Back Alive*
« on: December 15, 2017, 09:28:06 pm »

History

The regiment as first raised by the Honourable East India Company as the 2nd Madras Europeans, when it was formed from the 1st Madras Europeans in 1766. It served in India until it was disbanded in 1799. It was re-raised as the 2nd Battalion, The Madras European Regiment in 1822 but disbanded again in 1830.

The regiment was re-raised as the 2nd Madras (European) Regiment in 1839 and re-designated the 2nd Madras (European) Light Infantry in 1842. It was deployed to Burma in 1853 during the Second Anglo-Burmese War and then saw action in India in 1857 during the Indian Rebellion. After the Crown took control of the Presidency armies in the aftermath of the Indian Rebellion, the regiment became the 2nd Madras Light Infantry in November 1859. It was then renumbered as the 105th Regiment of Foot (Madras Light Infantry) on transfer to the British Army in September 1862. It embarked for England in 1874.

As part of the Cardwell Reforms of the 1870s, where single-battalion regiments were linked together to share a single depot and recruiting district in the United Kingdom, the 105th was linked with the 51st (2nd Yorkshire West Riding) Regiment of Foot, and assigned to district no. 8 at Pontefract Barracks in the West Riding of Yorkshire. On 1 July 1881 the Childers Reforms came into effect and the regiment amalgamated with the 51st (2nd Yorkshire West Riding) Regiment of Foot to form the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.

All of our staff has had experience in both Napoleonic Wars and North and South leadership, and are looking to start anew after leaving an old army. If you would like to ask further details about us, please message Royal .
