Why surprising? Its our home =p not to mention the amount of competition in sports (NFL, NBA, etc... ) that can make one loyal to their state.

I'm from New Jersey, so if I'm loyal to my state, I'm loyal to New York, and I hate New York. So I'm loyal to USA.

I'm both part Irish and part English, if the Uk were to suddenly split back into the four countries and they were to become warring states (and the RoI joins in too) I don't know what I'd pick, my family would probably choose go back go Ireland but England y'know is England. I have spent my whole life here and to go to Ireland where I'd probably be shunned for my posh (really it's posh, that's what spending the first few years of your life in surrey does to ya!) English accent. Now that I think about it, I would probably stay in England because that it where my true allegiances lay.
