I honestly feel like disbanding this heep of shite regiment. Without guards what in the hell are we going to do. We just cant melee. We are just terrible. Any advice on how to train people?

Different methods work for different people. Though,  I'd recommend training each person individually and then working up from there.

I suggest not worrying so much, don't worry about winning, just try to have some fun :). As for training, I would just say practice, practice, practice. Idunno if that helps, but I hope it does. Remember we are playing a game, and trying to have fun :P.
