Knowing and have talked to real veterans Matt, no disrespect intended for either your service. But isnt the point of signing up to be either a officer in ROTC or in your terms. "grunts" a lil off to you? You sign up to protect and serve not to be expected to be given a thank you every time you walk somewhere. And calling kovy a "grunt" correct me if im wrong but you're enlisted too. Did you go to a 4 year university to get a commission? I don't think you did though correct me if im wrong again. Sure it's cool being special forces but I don't think that means you are any better than anyone else who's served or will. Just my two cents, but everyone in uniform is your brother or sister regardless of branch or specialty. Though I suspect its just banter between you two anyways.
