The 5e Régiment de Hussards has the pleasure to announce that it will host it's weekly linebattle.
The Event will include Line Infantry, Light Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery.
All events will be played on balanced and varied custom maps. The Event will take place on Monday at 7:20p.m GMT .

The 5e Régiment de Hussards is an event organised each week (except for a major problem) on our 200 slots server. This event is administred by the 5e Régiment de Hussards and start at 7:30 p.m. GMT. The basic gamemod is battle but it can change for a conquest ( it depends on the organisator). You must join our steamgroup ( tba ) to confirm your sign up and to get the informations about the server details who will be given approximately 15 minutes before the event. All regiments have to come on the server at 7:20 p.m. GMT.
 In order to join the event you have to sign up in this topic and follow the registrations inscriptions.

Line Infantry / Guard

- 10 men and more minimum are needed to sign up.
- Fire in charge isn't allowed.
- Fire out of line isn't allowed.
- No reload in charge.
- A line may not crouch.
- Gaps must be filled.
- A line may not spread out.
- If you have 3 men or less, join a friendly line.

- 8 men minimum are needed to sign up.
- 15 men maximum are allowed on the field.
- Fire in charge is allowed.
- No reload in charge.
- Skirmishers may crouch.
- Skirmishers may spread out.

Cavalry

- 8 men minimum are needed to sign up.
- 16 men maximum are allowed on the field.
- Cavalry must stay in formation, unless in charge.
- Dragoons may fire from horseback but only when they when halted and in a line formation.
- Dismounted Dragoons are considered as being an infantry line.

Artillery

- 4 men minimum are needed to sign up.
- 12 men maximum are allowed on the field (6 guards maximum).
- 2 canons for each team.
- You may have one sapper.

If an invited regiment breaks one of these rules, the guilty men will be slayed, kicked or banned, depending on his fault.
If it happens twice or more, the regiment won't be welcome anymore to the event.

Greetings everyone. On this beautiful day, we are proud to annouce the creation of the 5e Régiment de Hussards, a french speaking cavalry regiment formed by Exofrance, Peponi and Chuscos. Why should you join us? Well, not only are we experienced cavalry players, we aim to offer our members a solid structure where all of our members will have the possibility to progress and become skilled riders. The regiment plans to place itself as a well known and disciplined host within the NW community, that's why we'll be participating in competitive events aswell as historical and classic events. This all perpuates with the purpose of producing an enjoyable perfomance, for our members, but also for the regiments we'll be playing with. If you wish to experience the undescribable feeling of a cavalry charge with your comrades; learn how to slash the ennemies of the Emperor and glorify the name of the 5e Régiment de Hussards; then we are waiting for you!

The 5e Régiment de Hussards, is a light cavalry regiment officialy formed the 14th of september in 1783 (at the time the 6th regiment of french army corpse called the Légion de Lauzin who took part to the American Civil War), who fought mainly during the French Revolution War and the Napoleonic Area. The regiment distinguished itself as a skilled and honorable regiment of cavalry, with many miltary feats and victorious battle such as Valmy, Iéna and La Moskova. The regiment has been recently formed by a bunch of veterans, mostly former IVe members and continues to grow up since then. Due to its youth, the strucuture might observe many changes in the future but for now, the officers and the goals of the 5e, aswell as the values we try to represent, will stay the same. This means that we'll try to take a good firststep in the competive NW scene, with the modesty of a newborn regiment coupled with the wish of always doing our very best and give an honorable fight to our opponents. The regiment has been created the 17th of December 2014 and is currently under the command of Lieutenant Exofrance, assisted by two Maréchaux des Logis, Peponi and Chuscos. From the 5e hussards Staff
Today, we're glad to announce the creation of the 5th hussars regiment, a french speaking cavalry regiment. Most of our current members were originally horsemen from 7th hussars, veterans and known fighters. A new day is coming for us. A new departure within a new structure to gather firstly an old generation of old friends, in order to welcome and train new hussars.
We are aware this task remains tricky and needs motivation aswell as hard work. Also, we are fully conscious of the current situation on Napoleonic Wars, and that's why we aim at gathering once again old friends and new hussars who will take pleasure together, while we'll bring our own structure and its principles in the community.
At last, we keep Bannerlords in our minds, and why not, build from now on, our future.

Learn from the pro One of our principle is giving a priority to learning and bootcamp for new cavalry players  You have to notice that we haven't change at all. Only the structure we're in changed but we'll keep on going in our ancient way with our common point of view and values. We are focused on training adapted for voluntary recruits in game. The path to build a strong regiment is to put forward experienced fighters, who must carry the regiment to victory and recruits to skill. Furthermore, it's our way to interprete new hussars and get a solid structure. Human is our first preoccupation.

5e Hussar, a competitive perspective? 5e hussards was created by a bunch of old fighters who are really interested by competitive events which give adrenaline and recquired skill, cohesion, self control and training. However, we aren't only focusing on competitive side. After many competition, victory and defeat, we have nothing left to prove. To conclude, we'll continue in a competitive way but with a new perspective. We'll try to link fun with competition. Main goal remains to build a coherent and enjoyable community around the regiment.

5e Hussards attacks the Texel fleet - 20 janvier 1795 - painting by Marcel Fatio

Within the operation which took place in the aim to reduce the defended localities in Northern Netherland, the 5e Hussard is gonna face a war action that can be qualified of unique in the numerous military feats of the cavalry. The regiment has been placed under the orders of a strong detachment lead by General Salme, as cavalry corps due to the lack of cavalry in it at this moment, who must walk into the north in order to subtue the differents strongholds, held by the Netherland. The 19th of January, in 1795, General Salme is informed that a signifiant part of the Netherland's fleet army is stuck by ice in the mouth of the Texel. He decides to take hold of it. General Salme send a detachment of his front line, which is composed of the 5e Hussards, the Belgians 3e Chasseurs lead by the Chef of Bataillon Lahure, and two light artillery pieces. Each chasseur is riding double a cavalryman, in order to be faster. Once they're in view of the seted fleet, the 5e Hussards spreads out on the ice and charge the naval vessels in formation, ordering them to surrender.

It is obvious that they don't think about attacking frontaly ships of the line esquadrons, which would be simply insane, but the prestige of this cavalry is so important that such a low threat is enough to impress the Dutch admiral. The ships remove their flags and surrender to this handful of cavalry. In total, the little line of cavalry take 12 boats of 32 to 72 cannons and realise an unprecedented militarty feat : a fleet captured by hussards. Never, in the history of the french cavalry such an exploit had came out. Those of the 5e will repeat, eleven years later, an other high feat but nontheless amazing, by taking, with the Lasalle's Brigade they were in at the time, the stronghold of Stettin, defended by a large garrison with an important number of cannons.

Here comes an extract of the heroic life of one of the greatest horseman of the 5e Hussar, Hector Thérond. Born in 1772, he is quickly bored of the dragoons, before being sent killing some austrian fools early in 1792. He comes back from his first charge with two injuries made by saber. He will be noticed in 1793, at the battle of La Croix-des-Bouquets where, while he was doing some recognition, he is surprised by spanishs, flee but not without taking down some of them and only injured of two gunshoots and one pump of saber. After some other injuries against west rebels, he is sent back to Italy in 1799. At the battle of Lovadina, leading a squadron of only 14 hussars, he reachs the whole ennemy cavalry who might take by surprise the infantry and while taking it away in a narrow pass, charge an austrian row strong of 3000 men, creating a big mess and making 1500 prisonners. Yes, you didn't read wrong, with only 14 hussars. After these military feats, he is rewarded by the Saber of Honor and made Knight of the Legion of Honor. He has the great privilege to be made Lieutenant-aide-de-camp of the General Lasalle ! He follows him in Austria, Prussia and Poland, is promoted Captain after having spaken his saber at Austerlitz, and chief of Squadron after some frontal charges at Iena. During these battles, Therond the brave received five gunshots, six injuries by saber, two by bayonet and three by spears, and five of his mounts have been killed. Afterwards, he is sent to Spain, where despite a bullet taken in the chest, he leads a cavalry charge which absolve the center of the army at Vimeiro and is congratuled by Maréchal Junot who recommend him to the Emperor. However, after having fought without any interruption during 20 years, and having received 29 injuries, Major Thérond dies of exhaustion in his bed, in 1812 at Moullins.
