North & South: First Manassas / Re: RIP North and South (Take 2)
« on: January 18, 2019, 01:41:55 am »
Right I just have to say, I got North and South right when it came out and even joined a regiment for the first time in my life, and the then 7th Cavalry current 32nd in everything else will always be one of the best gaming of my life. The moment I heard about War of Rights I was excited as all hell. Greatest tragedy on earth is I can't afford a machine that runs the thing but by God it is one of the best games I've ever had the pleasure to play and that all came from a really small modding team on a really small expansion of a really small game. If you can't feel pride in that and only criticise then that's on you, but I am so incredibly proud of the team and all they've done for us. If you want to criticise then sure, do so, but please do so from a place of love because without this lot you'd still be in Napoleonic doing fucking all v bots

Not sure if I posted this yet, internet is slow as balls...

Falaise Gap event, post event photo. June 19-21, 2015
[close]

I actually met Munk for the first time at this event, it's good to see my fellow FSE forumites from time to time at events and socialize in person. I reenact an attached sturmpionier to the 29.SS Pz.Gren.Reg. in the 12.SS Pz.D. "Hitlerjugend." While I am not in kit, this was a quick shot I had taken of me. I asked people on the Facebook Living History group to caption this, and so many said this looks like I'm a captured SS trooper being photographed by an American war correspondent before I get executed, haha. What do you guys think? I decolorized the photo then recolorized it for that "authentic photo" look.

Yeah that impression is looking pretty fucking great at the moment mate, well done

Yeah there's quite a few to my knowledge, though they all seem to be American units :'( If I ever get rich I'm 100% setting up a Soviet or Yugoslav partisan unit over here

You don't have to be rich to set up a soviet unit.

True true, but I'd rather like to have my kit actually complete first, gonna take some more dollar than I have now alas

Best and pretty much only footage featuring us.

Absolutely brilliant, the lass who recorded apparently was one of the bastard rebels shooting at us from the darkness in the 48 hour immersion event we did about a month ago
