Since mid-July, there have been multiple Saturday events running simultaneously. The split has been successful for the past several months because of the high number of players and their relatively even split between the two events. As is the case every year in NW, however, event numbers have dropped across the board around the time the first series of midterms and exams start popping up. Last weekend, a total of 210 unique IDs joined the server between the two events, which is well within the acceptable numbers range that Shrooms and I set several weeks ago. Assuming that numbers remain the same or decline further, expect some kind of announcement regarding an event merger next week.
For now, this event will proceed unchanged for at least this weekend. Specialty signups will begin fifteen minutes after this post.
Note: any merger attempt will be pushed back one weekend for every message Midnight sends me about merging the event.
