Not terrible modders would presumably use the uniforms as templates and edit them and not actually use them again for other mods. Considering NW has pretty much three US Civil War mods in the works I doubt anyone is dumb enough to make a new mod using unedited N&S files.

The union volunteer skin has a vast improvement from last time. Looks great and better. However for CSA what uniform is he wearing?  He should be wearing Richmond Depot Type 2 not a sack coat with so many buttons.  Army of Northern Virginia in Gettysburg were dominatly found wearing Richmond Depot.

Note the RD2 stop just by the period waist. Not over it. I personally think and would be accurate if that sack coat replaced with proper RD2 jacket, it would look better.

I also back what Millander said, More civvies slouch hat than kepis. Many soldiers would choose slouch over kepis. At early war, many men would beg other civvies to swap hat, or pay them. Even steal.  There was a good laugh document of i think either 1st or 4th Texas was encamped near the railroad.  They would make a ruckus everytime a train come by and the folks inside would peek out and loose their slouch hat.

In other mods coming out like L'aigle for one example, there will be 250 players max in a server. Will you guys be upgrading the PPS as well?   Also will you be upgrading the graphics and shaders?

That sounds nice and well. But I believe it was the same with NW where the aim was 250 or so but in the end only 200 were possible. And once some server hosted crossed that 200 line the server got really unstable and crashed ofthen.

So I'm not that sure if you even should think about that. 200 is fine anyway.

I dont even want to imagine the lag on one of their servers then... especially considering how badly optimized the base game is and the reason servers shouldnt go above 212... (above 200 being series lag for the vast majority anywho)

250 players was not possible due to the engine and memory limitations of the server boxes for NW. 250 players is very possible in Warband. I've been on one back in the early days of cRPG, and there used to be an almost always full Native server for siege with 250 players, hosted in Germany, and was very stable. Even in MM we had 250 player events.

You can host 250 players servers on NW...
It is very well possible to do so, and should not lagg. We never tried, because Taleworlds/Paradox did not want us too, but the original plan was to actually support up to 300 players.

But yes, you can host 250 player servers on NW the same way you can do it in Warband. With a simple hack of the server binary.

And btw... That Native Siege server was ours. We were the first one to actually host Servers with more than 64 players. So yah. I am pretty sure, even though I never tested it, that NW should very well work with 250 player servers.

When you think about it then really, the only thing in the way would really be the cost of a 250 slot server then.

I have a server box to myself.

If it is truly possible I may even try experimenting with it...

I thought I remembered that happening, or seeing that number anyway.
