What is it?Spoiler
Realm War is a mod set in the fictional land of Alaeria, inspired somewhat by the Empire of Warhammer (And WH:Mark of Chaos). V1.0 has been completed after roughly 34 hours of development (Excepting time to sleep and eat), and contains the first faction and one playable map. It has been developed with Teamplay in mind, and has been engineered for large-scale Conquest events.
Sounds great. How can I help?Spoiler
The mod is currently in dire need of both maps and a fanbase. If you would like to build a map for the mod, please contact me directly and I'll give you the relevant information in regards to special scene props, and any restrictions there may be. If you want to help us build a fanbase, then please, tell yo' wives, tell yo' daughters, and tell yo' babysitters. That's the only way this mod will grow.
Awesome. So, what features does this mod have?Spoiler
- 6 New & Unique Troop Classes, each with their own Officer class
- A New Troop concept - Supply Riders
- A New & Unique Fast Travel System
- Guns (Ofc)
- Bows
- Kilts
- Other crap
This looks a lot like Native?Spoiler
Yeah, it was easier to code from native and build up rather than pick apart NW's code to remove what I didn't want. I'm too lazy to model for mods nowadays though, so I ended up using several NW assets, hence why it's now an NW mod. Very little of the artwork within the mod is my own, most of it was pulled from OSP packs on the Taleworlds forum. Credits for those packs are shown below.
Uh, Right. So how do I use these features?Supply Riders
Spoiler
Supply Riders are a fast-moving cavalry troop type with very little armour and few weapons available. Their main strength is in what they can contribute to their team - Supply Riders can collect Ammunition from depots around the game, and then carry those supplies (With much Dash & Daring, of course) to the front lines, where they can be retrieved by soldiers as they need them.
Fast Travelling
Spoiler
Because the maps in Realm War are larger than your average Warband map (and therefore take rather a long time to get around, as a foot soldier), I've introduced a fast-travel system usable by any infantryman (provided he is on a "Friendly" team to the travel point).
This works as follows - Near your team's spawn are located travel points (Carts). At the start of the round these cannot be used, however once your team has captured a Signpost (By interacting with it), you can then use the appropriate Travel Cart to fast-travel to the attached signpost. However, beware - the enemy can also capture (and recapture!) signposts, which means they'll need to be defended if you're going to be afforded continual use of the Cart.
Note - You cannot use enemy Carts to fast travel.
Sounds sweet. What factions are there?Spoiler
Currently, just the one (The Empire). I'll be adding more later when I have the time, the closest of which to release is the Empire Rebels (Essentially the same faction, but their orange armour makes them look fabulous
And what troop types do they have?Spoiler
Imperial Lancers - Heavy Cav
Imperial Scouts - Light/Ranged Cav
Imperial Handgunners - Gunpowder Infantry
Imperial Huntsmen - Bow Infantry
Imperial Armsmen - Heavy Infantry
Imperial Supply Runners - Supply Cavalry
That sounds awesome! Thanks!

To all of the above, I couldn't have made the mod in the time scale I did without all of your contributions. Thankyou for putting so much work into open source work, the quality of your work is superb.
I'm sure I've missed at least one person here, but I can't work out who. Please give me a mail if you recognise any of your work in the mod.
Other CreditsSpoiler
Beaver - For teaching me to code. This wouldn't have been possible without you.
Shredzorz & Arch3r - For your OSP's and occasional help, which hugely aided me in learning and understanding the Warband Module System.
The 17th Regiment of Foot (And Kitty_DK), for Alpha Testing on short notice (And prettying themselves up for the camera)
And of course, FSE & Taleworlds, for developing the game & DLC, without which this mod could not be run.
ScreenshotsEventsSpoiler
I'm going to be looking into the possibility of starting up a weekly or fortnight-ly event for this mod. Check the OP of this thread regularly for news on upcoming events.
