Not really a specific memory of a particular event but I remember the times back in the day when EU1 was still a thing and the Groupfighting Server was about to become popular. Early days of this game/community were just great times.

EU1 :^)

So many familiar names in that screenshot. Only screenshot I have from back then is someone making a help me sign in EU1.

I was going to post this on the Taleworlds forums but I thought i'd offer it here first. So please give me a shout if you are interested in any. I don't want anything in return for these games really, so don't hesitate to ask.

Crysis 2 Maximum Edition
Mirror's Edge
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Magicka: Wizard Wars
Napoleon: Total War
Shank 2
Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed
Torchlight
Saints Row: The Third
Red Faction: Armageddon Path to War DLC
Titan Quest
Warhammer 40,00 Dawn of War 1

These games all come in one steam key (apparently?):
Darksiders
Red Faction: Armageddon
Metro 2033
Company of Heroes
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

P.S, some of them seem to only want to redeem to a specific account that you have to log onto. That'll probably get in the way of a couple of the games.

What is your crash message?

Either way, try deleting your rgl_config file, (C:/Users/YourName/Documents/Mount&Blade Warband/rgl_config.txt).

If the problem persists straight after you crash go to your rgl_log file,  C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/mount&blade warband/rgl_log.txt. That should give everyone a better idea as to what the problem is.

Hope it helps.

An English Civil War game would just be With Fire and Sword surely?

Pretty much all the units listed are in WFaS, they are both in the same time period give or take a few years. The English Civil War would just be two factions with almost identical loads outs. Whereas WFaS provides more factions and more diverse unit compositions.

I wish the rest of the FSE team went with Beaver and Olafson, a historical WW1 game would have been very interesting. Especially with the location of the team, getting first hand with the battlefield and equipment wouldn't require a transatlantic flight.

Was The_Dude banned later on?

The names he used were horrendous and he TK'd just as much as the others.

Came on just after this incident.

The_Dude was also using multiple names, impersonation of the KOA, used a racist name and TK'd a few times under different aliases.

I'd recommend a general look through of that time and after. There was a lot of rule breaking going on.

General Discussion / Re: Organised sieges.
« on: May 14, 2013, 05:17:03 pm »
In the original grand campaign there were a few sieges that took place. It was done on battle mode, 1 life per person, each round went on for a very long time but it was incredibly fun.

Having experienced defending and attacking a few times, both require a lot of communication. Back then it was done with Generals with whispers list and usually with the officers of each regiment communicating with each other via whispers too.

Organised sieges are my most fond memory of MM and I would love for it to return, with Generals and whisper lists preferably.

Edit: A video made by own of the 95th members for a GC siege event, not exactly serious.

Just a little bump. The developers have set up a forum recently to gather proper feedback.

It would be nice to see a few friendly faces over there and hopefully in game as well.

Even a revival of the mod wouldn't bring back what it was.

It was the players and the atmosphere they brought that made it what it was, how everyone respected one on one combat or  always giving a firing squad to anyone who surrendered.

I miss my grenadier hats.

PW could be some fun with a bunch of us.

MaHuD wanted to get some people together for a game of zombies at some point too.

Would any of y'all be up for a game of Full Invasion 2 tomorrow?

FI2, very fun. It would be nice playing with an organised group to see some of the end bosses too.
