I found this post in the history subreddit on, you guessed it, reddit. It includes the source in the post and a link to an imgur post with the translated diary in. He goes by the name of William Hoffman and I feel that his writing really captures the initial enthusiasm of the German forces on their approach to Stalingrad and the Volga and then the doomed attitude undertaken by the men as their situation becomes increasingly dire.

I believe that Mekkil has a bot mechanism of some sort - he posts that on any new thread. Anyway, these diaries are interesting. I'll read them later.
