I can't join or invite a game with a friend in Steam

As the topic says, I can't invite\join a game with a friend on Steam, I'm sure it's working with all games, even the oldest game ever, Counter Strike 1.6 I can join a game with friend! But I couldn't do it with Mount and blade warband:NW :(

That is because NW doesn't run on the Valve server browser, nor valve's engine. If you are interested in joining his server, simply ask him what server he is in, or tell him the one you are in.

They should, but it will remove the fun of looking for the goddamn server! If you're having hard times finding the server just ask your friend the name of the server and look it up at alphabetical order.

The join game option on steam was always kind of broken, even with valve games. It often leads to a freeze, and it's usually just easier to look for the server your friend is in manually.

It isen't supported because of steam wants lots of $$ for it to be implemented, and the server software is completely difirent making it next to impossible to implement.

I think i can answer this one..

About a year ago steam changed their settings to stop all the spammers.. ie people who would create random accounts to spam, make commercials or harrass people.

Now, anyone can make a free steam account, but until you have purchased a game at any amount wether 40 dollars or 50 cents you can not join groups or add people

You can create a profile and chat to people who have added YOU, but you can not invite people or add people to anything unless they add you.

Neat way to stop spam now?
