Servers / 6th Warwickshire Public Server
« on: January 06, 2013, 08:30:17 am »
Unlike everyone else's thread this one will be short and sweet. A 200 slot server hosted in the southern united states with a grand total of 3 admins, sponsored by the 6th Warwickshire and hosted Lyra, the server is on most of the average day for most of the world (excluding Australia and such.) this server is also the same one that is used for the first and only event for the AZM mod. Rules are pretty much common sense as you would see on NW, run around, shoot enemies, respect admins and such. Remember to have fun and good luck!

The Anglo-Zulu War / Event balancing
« on: January 03, 2013, 08:28:05 pm »
I am sure this issue has been thought about but I haven't seen a joint answer. We all know that there are a large amount of British regiments than Zulu ones, so when an event is up and all the sides join it's going to be terribly imbalanced. In order to deal with this I've heard people saying some regiments wil join the Zulu side in order to balance, but the thing is, wouldn't that be unfair to the ones that have to join the Zulu side? They most likely don't want to be on the Zulu side. My suggestion is to have some regiments join the Zulu side during the events, but then have the names of the regiments that joined the Zulu side written down, so when the next event comes to town they won't be switche to the Zulu side, the ones who haven't Been written down will, and then the cycle repeats.

The reason this is a topic is I want to see what the developers rink of this and what the other players think would be good balancing.

Regiments / {AZW} 6th Warwickshire (Recruiting) "Warwickshire Lads"
« on: January 03, 2013, 02:09:39 am »
Hello gentlemen, welcome to the page of the 6th Warwickshire's main page!

This is a regiment that is completly bare except for me, I have decided to not have any people besides myself in the regiment prior to formation of the regiment so I can have people that I did not know previously in command, so there is no bias. The ranks are down here:

Colonel: Caesar15

Lieutenant Colonel:: Lyra

Major: Bogrith

Captain: Whaleskin

Lieutenant:

Second Lieutenant:

Staff Sergeant:

Sergeant:

Corporal:
jmrem1
Lance Corporal:

Privates: Manzz, Xiros, Holt Johnson, Yed, Spitfire

Mercenaries: Worms

Promotions

In order to get promoted you must prove yourself in leadership and battle, the former being more than the latter. In the begining promotions will be dealt out more often to fill up the various officer ranks, but once most of the ranks are filled you will have to work harder to achieve a higher rank, so join up now if you aspire to be high in command.

Schedule

Yet to be complete as the mod was just released.

HISTORY: In 1832 the 6th became a Royal Regiment and their title was changed to The Royal (1st) Warwickshire Regiment. The 6th took part in the 7th and 8th Kaffir Wars in South Africa and received the Battle Honour South Africa 1846-7, 1851-2-3. Service on the North-West Frontier took place between 1849 and 1868. The Regimental Depot was established at Warwick in 1873 and following the 1880-1881 Childers Reforms, the regimental title became The Royal Warwickshire Regiment. In 1898 the regiment fought at Atbara and Omdurman during Lord Kitchener's reconquest of the Sudan and saw service in the Second Boer War at Johannesburg, Diamond Hill and Belfast.
