Over the past few months there has been a name that people usually associate with autoblock, whether it is refered to as a meme, or in a serious manner, that name is Gavin. Me and the Server owner of BoB (Pedro) have been doing an investigation of him while he has been an active memeber of our server, and have came across evidence that proves, without a reasonable doubt, that Gavin is indeed one of these autoblocking hackers that plague our community and give the competitive scene of Napoleonic wars a bad name. As to regards of what will be done about this, we are still working on a solution, our choices are limited, and each is a double edged sword. Option one is to just ban him from being on BoB permanently, though with NW being on a steady decline in player count, this will lose one active member from being on the server, and could lead to some sort of martyr situation if people take the ban seriously enough. Option two is to just let him play, but our servers name would be somewhat tarnished by allowing a hacker to play om the server, would possibly lead to some outrage aswell. This video here has been provided to us by Nappy Surena, a well known name throughout the community, he recorded Gavin trying to practice 2v1s and noticed something odd, and once he presented this video to Pedro and I, we noticed something odd aswell. He never sideblocks save the sword section of the video, he blocks whoever is closest (and according to some tests Pedro and I have done, autoblock blocks the closest attack to the player, so its proximity based). All in all, from multiple sources stating Gavin does autoblock, and some screenshots provided to us of steam chat logs, and even Gavin himself shows his autoblock through his own videos at
http://Plays.tv. This is enough to answer this question of 'Does Gavin autoblock?', yes, yes he does.
