Art of war
« on: November 14, 2013, 10:20:21 pm »
JUst for the people interested.

I am listening to the audiobook of The Art of War (Sun Tzu)
I am making a summary of it, because I can, and I want to enlarge my knowledge.

If people are interested, I will post the summary here?
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

The Art of War itself is a summary. ^^
I personally read it on one afternoon. And btw for everyone that is interested, you can find it easily on the internet.
But I don't want to demotivate you. If you want to make a summary I think many people would be pleased.

AUDIOBOOK!?

Oh my ghawd, you're such like, a conformist poser.

Edit: I personally found it to be mostly common-sense, with a few obscure metaphors thrown in. Not entirely convinced it's as revolutionary as it claims to be.

If a cat sits in a box in the woods and no-one is around to hear it, is it alive?

I read enough, trust me.

And it still is common sense for you personally. Look more general (bedum crash), knowledge like this is not as common as you might think. It might be pure logic, but hey, come up with it.

I bought a small pocket book of the Art of War, whenever I am bored I just take it out and read it  :P

Its got an explanation of the things Sun Tzu wrote, so that its much more understandable.

The Audiobook I downloaded is mentioning sidenotes made by other generals.
