My Brother who has read the books said that this season is shaping up to be the best one yet!
I read the books but I'm not sure how they sync up with the show, is it at the part where Ned Stark comes back from the dead, and along with Hodor teams up with Milli Vanilli to defeat the Lannisters in an international dance contest?
I think that'll come later in the season. From what I understand the all-kingdom orgy which was mandated by Tommen will be included in the last episode, accompanied by George R.R. Martin himself appearing as R'hllor and smiting Hodor mortally to avoid his ascention to the throne of New Valyria. I was however a little confused regarding their plans for depicting the Halloween Disco in the Red Keep. Is that going to be included as part of the overarching Other breakdancing sequence or will it be its own story ark?

We'all just have to wait and see, but I really hope they stay faithful to the books.

I liked the part where it was revealed that Dog is actually an imaginary friend of Arya and she is actually single handedly taking on the entire of Westeros.

Was a bit confused with that second son prince guy, so what was the whole deal with what happened to his family in the past?? Sister married someone who left her, started war, then how did the lannisters take over and kill her?

His sister married Rhaegar Targaryen, who left her for his newly captured (literally) love Lyanna Stark. Lyanna was supposed to marry Robert Baratheon, and she was also Ned's sister. Roberts Rebellion was actually started for her. Anyway, Elia (Oberyn and Doran's sister) had two of Rhaegar's children, who, after the Lannisters sacked King's Landing, were both killed along with their mother by Gregor Clegane, a Lannister bannerman.
