Regiment was formed on September 1, 2015. We are Czechoslovak (CZ/SK) community.

The regiment is part of the 1st Brigade, which included regiments like 66Pp, 66th and 95th. The Brigade was formed in October 2014 by the 66Pp and the 95th.
Unlike many communities in NW the 1st Brigade is lead by a council formed from its member regiments who once a month (third Friday) elect a general to make the big decision about what new regiments should be allowed to join, should any changes be made to the event manage by the Brigade, and which new event we would like to either host or take part in.

Now there are only two regiments in brigade: 56e (Merge of 66Pp and 59e) and Nr47.

Regiment was created in 1688, during french revolution, regiment was reorganized and renamed into 59e demi-brigade de bataille(formed from:
1er bataillon, 30e Regiment d'Infanterie, 4e bataillon, Volontaires de Paris, 7e bataillon, Volontaires de Rhone-et-Loire).
In 1803 regiment was renamed back to the original 59e Regiment d'Infanterie de Ligne.
59e, literally said, fought with Napoleon from his rise to power, to his fall.
They took part in siege of Toulon(Napoleons first battle), fought in battle of Marengo, Ulm and even Austerlitz.

They fought with their emperor in battle of Jena, endured starvation in Eylau, fought in battle of Wagram, Lutzen, Dresden, Leipzig and Luxembourg.
After Napoleon returned from exile, they again stood beside him in battle of Ligny and they were sent to fight, with retreating prussian army,
under command of Marechal Grouchy in battle of Wavre.

Three of the regimental Colonels got promoted to the rank of General-de-Brigade, one became baron of the empire and one became member of the Legion d'Honneur.
When Napoleon III. got on the French throne as Emperor, some old members of the 59e served him as his advisors.
Regiment was very active during WW1 and was disbanded in 1940 after defeat of France by Nazi Germany.
