Salut tout le monde !
Je fais ce petit topic dans le but d'informer ceux qui n'étaient pas au courant que la Cavalry Nation Cup est à quelques jours de débuter.
Le principe est le même qu'avec les quelques Nation Cups d'infanterie précédemment organisées: les nations lèvent des équipes et s'affrontent pour gagner la coupe. C'est la toute première édition organisée au sein de la communauté de cavalerie.

Hello to all the Cavalry Community of Napoleonic Wars, and welcome to the thread of the very first official Cavalry Nation Cup !
This tournament, organized by Griff and I, aims to regroup all the members of the Cavalry Community, in order to make each nation face each other like the Infantry Community already has done a few times.
This Tournament will have its specific rules and organization, and we highly hope to be able to bring as many nations as we can, in order to fight in good conditions, with good sportsmanship, and with the little touch of regional pride that always motivates everyone to give their best !
So gentlemen, which nation will bring the best riders ? Who will triumph and who will fall ? Up to you to write the story !

The Napoleonic Wars Cavalry Nation Cup will begin on March the 7th.

"Cavalry is useful before, during, and after the battle. Without Cavalry, battles are without result."

1. Teams will only be composed of players who have the nationality of their team's country/countries.
2. Teams will be composed of 14 players minimum, 21 players maximum.
3. Teams containing coalitions between countries will be only allowed by the organizers, on the condition that this is the only way for these countries to play due to low numbers.
4. On the field, 12 men maximum will be allowed to spawn and fight.
5. If a team doesn't bring enough players, they will play with what they have, but the team they face will still be allowed to have 12 men fighting.
6. Teams will have to pick one unit between the following: Hussar, Cuirassier, Dragoon. The team will have to play with this unit during all its matches.
7. Matches will be 'first to 8'.
8. To win a round, a team has to kill everyone in the enemy team.
9. Picking enemy weapons and horses is allowed, like in a standard 1v1 regimental cavalry fight.
10. Behave ! Do not tea-bag, and keep the global chat to a minimum.
11. Listen to the admins and what they say.
12. Matches will be organized at 19.30pm GMT, however, if both nations agree to play the match at another time, then they will be allowed to play it at the time they want.
13. One officer (the Team Captain or the Vice Captain if the Captain isn't there) per team may be on the field, to lead his men.
14. Shooting is strictly forbidden. If an officer or a ranker is caught firing his pistol, referees will reset the round, and the team of the guilty man will loose one point.

The Cup also has its Steam Group, where every team Captains and Vice-Captains will be invited, so they can add each other, talk to each other, and organize their matches with the organizers. Here is the Steam Group:

Je vous présente le thread du IVe Corps Event, hosté tous les Mercredi, à 20h30 heure française.
Cet Event a plus d'un an d'existence, et à la réputation d'un event de qualité dans la communauté.

Je ne fais ce topic que pour vous transmettre le lien du thread de cet Event hebdomadaire, que j'ai fais il y a peu sur la partie anglophone du forum.

ATTENTION, si vous voulez y inscrire votre régiment, ce sera sur ce topic en anglais qu'il faudra le faire, je ne prendrais aucune inscription ici.

What do you have to offer ?
A well organized EU based Event, existing for more than a year now, with listening admins, a good server with no lag, and an interesting challenge for your regiment, due to the teamplay between the 5 regiments of the IVe Corps, which you will be most likely to face.

Line Infantry / Guard

- 10 men minimum are needed to sign up.
- 30 men maximum are allowed on the field.
- Fire in charge is allowed.
- A line may not crouch.
- Gaps must be filled.
- A line may not spread out.
- No reloading during the charge.
- If you have 3 men or less, join a friendly line.

Skirmishers

- 10 men minimum are needed to sign up.
- 16 men maximum are allowed on the field.
- Fire in charge is allowed.
- Sirmishers may crouch.
- No reloading during the charge.
- Skirmishers may spread out.
- If you have 3 men or less, join a friendly line.

Cavalry

- 10 men minimum are needed to sign up.
- 16 men maximum are allowed on the field.
- Cavalry must stay in formation, unless in charge.
- Dragoons may not fire from horseback.
- Dismounted Dragoons are considered as being an infantry line.

- 3 men minimum are needed to sign up.
- 10 men maximum are allowed on the field (5 guards maximum).
- 2 pieces are given to each team.
- You may have one howitzer.
- You may have one sapper.

General Rules

- Do not aim at officers.
- Do not rambo, stay with your regiment.
- Do not spam the global chat.
- Do not team hit intentionally.
- Listen and obey to the admins and what they say.

If an invited regiment breaks one of these rules, the guilty men will be slain, kicked or banned, depending on their fault.
If it happens twice or more, the regiment won't be welcome anymore.

We'll invite every regiment leader who sign up his regiment to this Event, so we can talk to him when we want or have to, and so can he too.




An officers meeting happens every week, one hour before the event.
This meeting is mandatory, all the leaders must show up to it. If one can not come to the meeting, he must send his second-in-command, or anyone able to represent the regiment, and to speak/understand English.
If no-one can come, the officer must let the admins know before the meeting, in order to get the server informations and everything needed.

The meeting occurs on the IVe Corps' TeamSpeak.

All the officers must be on this TeamSpeak at 6.30pm GMT, one hour before the beggining of the event.
This meeting will take about 10 minutes every week, and will help the organizers to make the event better.

Hello dear Blood and Iron community,

As you know, the French light cavalry unit in the mod is the "Chasseurs à Cheval".
Unfortunatly, there is no Chasseurs à Cheval regiment in the community, and one of the only French cavary regiment is the 5e Régiment de Hussards, part of the 21e Corps, led by myself.

We wanted to fight with the real 5e Hussards' uniform during the Franco-Prussian war, so Candide, one of my men, made the skin, and I wanted to share it with you guys

Discussions Publiques / Vos régiments historiques préférés.

Salut à tous camarades !
Dans une tentative de faire vivre un peu ce sous-forum dédié au plus beau des langages, j'ouvre ce petit topic de discussion, dans le but que tout le monde nous présente le régiment historique qu'il préfère. Nous parlons ici de régiments de la période Révolution / Premier Empire (grosso modo, 1789-1815)
Cela demande bien évidemment quelques recherches historiques, pour pouvoir donner une description un tant sois peu poussée du régiment présenté. Donc ne vous contentez pas d'une bête "wolol moi c'est celui là parce qu'il est trop stylé tavu", mais faîtes nous un peu rêver, avec les régiments de héros qu'on avait à l'époque, ça ne sera pas dur
Vous pouvez nous présenter des régiments d'infanterie, de cavalerie, de ce que vous voulez, il n'y a pas de limitation spécifique.
Votre ou vos régiments peuvent être ceux dont vous faîtes partie sur NW, mais bon, si on peut essayer de sortir du jeu et de s'élargir pour voir un peu d'autre choses, ça marche aussi

En espérant pouvoir lire vos récits épiques, faire d'éventuelles nouvelles découvertes, et aussi pouvoir faire bouger un peu cette communauté francophone peu encline à poster
